Ok for price, but can be frustrating

I picked this chopper up for much less than the cost of a replacement bowl and it’s ok for the price but below my expectations. The motor seems strong enough to handle all the tasks I need it for and the construction seems sturdy. That said, the design of the blades seems poor and makes vegetable chopping a hassle. If I throw in some peppers and onions I have to either put a lot or add liquid, otherwise everything is thrown against the sides of the bowl and must be scraped down. There is too much space under the bottom blade and too much clearance between the blades and the sides. As a result I constantly have to stop, scrape the sides and start again until the mass is rendered down. Even with “wetter” items, the blades create a cavity inside where nothing is get processed because they seem to just go too fast for some items. I never had this issue with my older prep chopper. I will probably end up purchasing a new version of the more expensive one I had for years.
