Chop this chopper!

I bought it through Best Buy's Deal of the Day at a discounted price. When it arrived, I washed it as instructed, loaded it up with chopped onions to process, and mounted the cup onto the device... plugged it in, hit the button and boom... nothing. I moved it to another plug just to make sure. Nothing. I was looking forward to using this chopper but didn't want to risk it again trading it for another, so I just washed it and returned it. Luck of the draw, perhaps. But I won't purchase this again.
