Nothing to complain about and it works as it should be

Design is nice and beautiful. Packaging is nice, clean and good. Quality of the product, must say is low because it is made of plastic parts that at some point are fragile and weak, and it is plastic that doesn’t stand much heat, so, now I learned why some user reviews at Bella site complain about broken and melted parts. Function, in my machine the red light never came off, and the green light never turned on, hence you could say you will never know when the machine is ready, or when the waffles are done without you checking constantly, in order to avoid burned meal. Easy to clean, easy to use if it works well (not my case). It gets very hot in the exterior metal, so be aware of that if you have children or senior users or around at home.

I guess you can only expect so much from a cheap waffle maker. Worked just fine for about four months, but of course we weren't making waffles every day, or every week, so not really a fantastic lifespan there. The whole main... waffle cooking? part kind of fell out of place and the handle won't fit back in and still rotate. I don't know, its hard to put into words, but yes, disappointing it didn't last longer, it was fun while it lasted I suppose.

There is a contact pin in the handle that is depressed when the unit is closed. On mine the handle hit the side of the pin turning the unit on but preventing it from closing. Will exchange the unit to see it only this unit or a design flaw...

Bought it for a Christmas gift from Santa to the kids on black Friday. Didn't have the opportunity to use it until several weeks later due to the fact that it was under the tree. Finally pulled it out of the box and used it for the first time about a week ago. This is the first waffle maker I have ever purchased. I read all the directions very thoroughly before using and nothing had ever been mentioned about the handle. I closed it a couple of times before using it and it seemed to seal properly but it would make a very loud clicking noise every time you closed it. I'm not sure if this was normal or not but it seemed to be working. I continued making the batter up, anxious to make our first waffle. I poured the batter in the maker and closed the handle and to my surprise the clicking had stopped and the handle wasn't closing 100% of the way. Every time I spun the handle 180 degrees it would leak batter everywhere. It was as if the top and bottom of the maker were restricting itself from closing all the way. I didn't want the batter to go to waste so I continued to use it and made up what I could. The kids liked the waffles that I made but they certainly didn't turn out anything like they should have looked. Just disappointed that nothing is mentioned in the manual about the handle locking in place and what should be expected. Got it for a good price on black Friday but maybe thats why they say you get what you pay for. On top of that, I think I'm stuck with it because It's past the return time per their policy. SMH!

Bought at a good price BUT. It’s to replace a working but crusty unit. Comparing the two this seems well...just cheaper made. It’s lighter. The turning isn’t as smooth. Really won’t know until about 40 uses from now. We will see if it’s a keeper.
