It heats up pretty quickly and the cake pops are easy to burn so i unplugged in between fills. They are not the easiest to get out i havent perfected that part yet but a toothpick works for loosening them. I would honestly say its easier to make them by hand than to use this but this is great if you have little kids that want to make them too.

Smelly cake pop maker

Like fish or something. I couldn’t remove the pungent odor so I returned it. I wouldn’t recommend it if I got one that didn’t smell I ordered two and they both had a strong odor. They smelled like fish and some type of chemical.
