I can not seem to get a yolk firm enough for making egg salad. I have tried repeatedly. I have filled the tray with water and steamed them until the light clicks off and water is gone from tray. See photo for the max doneness I have been able to get. It poached eggs nicely. Great for Ramen. But not so good at gettin a firm yolk.

I was using this at least 3x a week to make my breakfast. I especially love that I was able to make omelettes and poached eggs to perfection. However, after 9 weeks of use, the parts broke down. The plastic handle for the egg maker broke down to pieces while I was cooking a trio of eggs. I can’t cook with this appliance anymore.

I had a $10 Rewards certificate and found this lil' machine. I love a poached egg and eggs in general. However, this machine fails EPICALLY in the job it is supposed to do. As you can see from the photo, this is what you will have to deal with when trying to clean it every time you want a poached egg. Without any butter or margarine (or Pam I would imagine, even though I didn't have any on hand at the time) it is about impossible to get the stuck egg out of the tray. Then I tried butter = nope. Then margarine = nope. It was easier but still took a long time to clean & still a pain in the rear! Trust me. Like I mentioned, this is only for soft boiled eggs because that's all it does. I do not recommend this product at all. If it breaks, I will give it to my neighbor for a quick skeet activity! :OD

you got what you paid - it cooks eggs well but poaching.... the poaching tray has size for medium size eggs & if you use L or XL some stuff could be out & you'll have some problems to clean it up (see my images)

returning after one use! have to stand there for 15+ minutes - followed instructions and eggs overcooked and tray burned. can do it in 7 minutes in the microwave without having to stand there.

Quick, fast and easy to use. To clean the stainless steel, I use vinegar and it cleans right up. The only down side is that the alarm to the timer stopped working after 10 or so uses.

This is a nice little egg cooker. For the price you don't think too much about it but it really does the job. Hard to overcook your eggs if you follow the instructions. Definitely would recommend it. Easy to use and cooks eggs fast. Doesn't warm up your kitchen. Be careful with the little egg spike at the bottom of the water measure. It is sharp. Didn't like the placement of it but you can't really lose it there. The bottom where the water goes does turn a little white from the minerals in the water because it's supposed to dry during the cooking process. This is normal. Nice gadget to have and no more overcooked eggs.

I bought this on a whimbecause I stink at boiling eggs. I just made some and it took maybe 10 minutes to make 6 eggs. They cam out perfect. No mess, well except for the peeling part, and easy cleanup. Next I will try poaching them..Very easy to use also. Fill it with water, tuen it on and place the eggs on the rack...Cover and done.

I like to keep boiled eggs on hand for quick protein when i'm on the go. This inexpensive egg cooker produces 7 eggs in quick time with no cracks and all eggs are perfectly cooked. They peel easily.

So easy!! Now can have perfectly hard boiled eggs in matter if minutes with less wirk and clean up! Follow instructions and you’ll get perfect results! They even peel easily! (The only issue i have is I filled the water resevior to the correct (max) level and turn it off immediately when done removing the eggs fron thd unit; however this resevior has been completely dry and even created slight burnt area. I’ve even added extra water but can only add vert littke extra otherwise will overflow.) So set a timer and watch closely-be ready to remove when done - this is for hard boiled eggs…takes like 5-8 minutes or so depending on how many eggs you are cooking - max is 7 eggs.

This is a handy little kitchen appliance that takes the guesswork out of making boiled eggs (which is what I use it for the most) just how you like them - soft, medium, or hard. This is the second one of these I've owned and I really liked one feature that my previous one has that this one doesn't. I wish this one would play a little song when it's done cooking so you know when to grab your eggs to run them under cold water. This barely makes a sound, except for a little click when the power turns off to let you know it's done cooking, so you have to pay fairly close attention. Otherwise, this is a good egg cooker, and overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

The compact egg cooker is fantastic, and using it is a breeze. It comes with an egg piercer, so you'll need to puncture the eggs first. Then, simply use the provided measuring cup to add the right amount of water for your desired level of doneness. After removing the egg from the carton, give it a quick pierce, place it in the tray, and flip the switch. I like to let them sit for a couple of minutes before running them under cold water on a spoon for a few seconds, making peeling a breeze. The eggshells come off in one piece every time.

I was skeptical about how well these egg cookers might work. I've used mine several times with good results each time. Simple to operate, cooks thoroughly and only took several minutes to hard boil 6 eggs. It's a steamer, so it is suggested to use distilled water for best results and to avoid residue from building up on the hot plate. Includes a 3 egg poacher accessory that I haven't tried yet but I don't see any reason it wouldn't work just as well as it does for hard boiled eggs.

This is very small but holds 7 eggs. The automatic time means you don't have to guess how long to cook your hard boiled eggs. Just don't forget to add the water before you start and once it cycles you will be able to perfectly peel your hard boiled eggs. This is a must have!!

This is a simple product which does a good job. After years of making hard boiled egg in a pot which most of the times either came out to hard or to soft I am glad I decided to purchase this product. Nothing complicated in its operation. Just follow the included instructions the first time and you’re good to go. In my particular case I fill the measuring cup to just about the top for HARD boiled. I use Natural Spring (bottle) water since it’s the only water I drink which did result on a etch buildup on part of the metallic base upon first use, but this was easily removed by applying a small amount of distilled white vinegar and a good rub. It is recommended that you use distilled or filtered water. The first time I used it I did pierce the eggs using the pin on the measuring cup, but now I am not piercing the eggs and I find the result to be the same. As stated in the instructions: Eggs will cook perfectly with or without piercing. I don’t want to complicate my life any more than necessary. I am doing 2 eggs in 09:45.45 minutes which is about half the time in a pot and using about 3 cups less of water, which should translate to a significant reduction in my carbon footprint. We must save the planet. I haven’t done any poached eggs or omelettes so search others reviews. I am very happy with my deal of the day purchase. Just remember for boiled eggs use only Large eggs and they should be COLD.
