Customers are saying

Customers regard the 10.5-qt. 5-in-1 Indoor Grill and Air Fryer favorably for its ease of use, large size and cooking capacity, and generally positive cooking performance. Many appreciate its design and find it to be a good value for the price. However, some customers note that the preheat time is lengthy, and a few experienced issues with an initial chemical smell and less-than-intuitive controls.

I hate to even give this a 1 star review. Product is crap. I received it a with in a day plastic decorative parts start falling off. It was just sitting on the counter. You only have prep program options ( you can change time and temperature) but it's a pain. Also if something finishes the cooking cycle but is still not done the machine wants to restart the pre heat. Not sure if this is a problem with all or just the one I got but at 20 days old it is already having problems. Food doesn't heat up as it should or the machine it's self just turns off. With Best Buys 15 day return window I would say "stay clear" trying to work with manufacture has also been a long painful process.

DOA. When I turned the power on, the "menu" of cooking options didn't appear; only, the shrimp option showed? I tried powering it on/off several times and unplugging and plugging back in and the menu appeared once briefly and disappeared. Obviously, there was an electronics defect. Returned it to Best Buy. I'm not keeping anything that does not even work out of the box!

    If you like plastic

The appliance is not a good buy. When I purchased this is because our original Bella Air fryer didn't function anymore. This is worse. The smell of plastic from the appliance at first you would think is common for a newly opened product, well it's not just common it's also going into your food. We used this product since we purchased it about a week ago. It has to go. The plastic permeates all the items you cook in this thing. Everything tastes like plastic. It's naustiating. It's made us sick. It's packed up and going right back.

This air fryer is big that allows you to air fry food for a small family, however, the controls and the buttons are far from perfect. I would recommend this for someone looking for a budget friendly air fryer with several functions that require some learning. Most air fryers are simple, plug-n-play but this one is not as intuitive so definitely read the instructions. Here is a breakdown of how I personally rate this Bella Pro Series. Capacity 5/5 Of all air fryers I have used, this one is the one that fits the most food. I only live with my partner, and I can throw everything in it including the meat and veggies we plan on having for dinner. Accessories 4/5 The pizza pan is super small, it’s more for like personal pizzas. My favorite one is the grill. I use it even if I am not grilling because it has a bit more clearance. Design 4/5 It’s a bit bigger than I imagine, but the built quality is good for a budget friendly air fryer. I appreciate the lights and window because my last air fryer did not have that, so it’s nice to see if I need to adjust the time. Cooking 4/5 I have cooked chicken, steak, veggies, and fries on this so far and they all come out looking and tasting great. The only reason I did not score a 5 out of 5 is because the air fryer goes through a preheat timer and I am not a fan of this because I want to simply cut my food and throw in the air fryer. I dislike having to turn it on waiting a bit then throwing the food in it. Controls 2/5 This is where I think this air fryer could be better. It’s a bit slow to turn on or off. Not all options are finger touch. You must go through all cooking options to choose the one you want instead of just being able to select the food you are cooking. Overall, though, I think this makes a great air fryer for someone looking at this price range. It gets the job done; it just needs a little getting used to!

This is a fantastic little multitool appliance. Used it for several meals now and it does a great job without warming the entire kitchen. Perfect size for a small kitchen or apartment. Takes up just a tiny square of kitchen counter space. Has enough room to do a couple burgers or steaks or a few servings of French fries. Cleanup is super easy and takes a few minutes. Control panel is easy to understand and simple to use. Fits the decor of my kitchen with all stainless steel appliances. Really nothing I can say bad against it. This would make an excellent wedding gift for a newly starting couple, as well as a great gift for empty nesters who don’t need a huge 8 person serving appliance. Build is sturdy and nothing feels like it will wear out quickly. Bella pro products are definitely high quality. Besides the usual hamburgers and French fries, I’ve used it to cook a few other gourmet meals. The results are just as good as my full size Samsung oven but works better because it preheats quickly and cools just as fast, so it makes meal prep a breeze. Highly recommend!

There nothing you can do about the beeping. The “air” in air fryer doesnt exist in some modes and its not like it really comes with a manual or recipe guide or anything loke that. Honestly it works but its alot of trial and error.

A decent air fryer / grill that cooks well

Our family enjoys air fryers and healthy meals. We have owned several air fryers / indoor grills from different companies since they were introduced. We use them so much that we inevitably have to replace them every six months to a year, but only because the nonstick coating wears off after prolonged use and everything gets caked on the inside, making it difficult to clean. We have found out after owning so many that this is a common problem with air fryers, as the nonstick coating is not designed to withstand everyday heavy use. Air fryers are generally affordable and easily replaceable, so getting a new one from time to time isn’t a deal breaker by any means. The only bummer is that this causes more waste when discarding a small appliance. Starting with the positives… This air fryer/grill is a good performer. Cooking performance is arguably the most important feature for most food based kitchen appliances. I like the size of the basket and the inserts for grilling, frying, and making pizza. I especially like the window in front and the interior light, which allows me to monitor my food without having to pull open the basket tray. Having a window and interior light is really great and something you don’t normally see on air fryer ovens. Now to the not so good… It’s quite large for an air fryer. Not too tall, but a very large footprint measuring about 14.5” width x 17.5” depth (with the handles), so be sure you have enough counter space for it. My main issue is that I am still confused as to why some air fryers need to be preheated before running their programmed time. As it stands, if you want to run a 10-minute cycle, you will need to add several minutes to that for preheating time. Air fryers should not need to be preheated because it wastes time and energy. It would be more efficient if they could start cooking immediately. Most of the others we have owned do just that. Ultimately, I end up selecting the first preset (pizza) and then just modifying the time and temp to get cooking. Most items we cook have the suggested time and temp listed on the packaging for air frying, etc. I don’t ever bother preheating, as I just learn how long most items take, or simply take a peek inside through the window and see how everything is looking. That said, once the preheat function completes, it expects you to add your food, so it pauses and won’t start the normal cooking process / timer countdown until you open and shut the door. An option to use this without having to do any of this would make this a better appliance in my option. The single touch programmed times on the control panel are designed to make it easy to cook common foods (listed in order on the panel from left to right) like pizza, fish, bread, shrimp, chicken, steak, fries, and dehydrate. However, these options are not useful, or common at all, for everyone, such as vegans. Additionally, the control panel is a bit touchy and sometimes takes a few tries to get the desired option to work. This can be frustrating, especially if you are in a hurry. Those of us with kids know all about hurrying! Finally, the shiny black control panel is extremely prone to fingerprints, which can be unsightly. Be prepared to wipe it down after any use. I would also recommend unplugging the appliance before cleaning to avoid accidentally turning it on by cleaning over the power and preset cooking options. Overall, the air fryer seems to have a few design flaws. The preheating time is unnecessary for the foods we cook, the control panel is not very user-friendly, and is prone to fingerprints. The presets certainly aren’t for everyone. A simpler air fryer/grill with fewer options and a more well thought out control panel would be a better choice for many people.

A culinary design air fryer for the home cook

I recently got the Bella Pro Series 10.5-qt. 5-in-1 Indoor Grill and Air Fryer, and I couldn't be happier. I have been a fan of the air fryer movement from the beginning and have had several over the years. I am always looking for the best for the most reasonable price. The Bella Pro series air fryers are some of my favorite due to their design, versatility, and overall functionality. Firstly, the design is sleek and modern, which adds a touch of elegance to my kitchen. It doesn't take up too much counter space but is big enough to prepare full family size meals, which is a big plus for those with limited kitchen real estate. The controls are user-friendly, and the digital display makes it easy to set the desired temperature and cooking time. I was a bit intimidated by the large digital display controls, but after reading the instructions and getting familiar with the layout, they were simple to navigate. The 5-in-1 functionality is a game-changer. I can grill, air fry, roast, bake, and dehydrate with just one appliance. This versatility has opened a world of culinary possibilities for a home cook. From crispy air-fried chicken wings to perfectly grilled vegetables and even homemade beef jerky, the Bella Pro Series does it all flawlessly. The food comes out evenly cooked, with that delightful crispy texture that everyone loves. The large easy-view window and interior light are fantastic additions. They allow me to keep an eye on my food without having to pull out the tray, which helps retain the heat and moisture inside. Whether I'm checking on the progress of my game day chicken wings or ensuring my juicy steaks are grilled to my preference, the window and light make it easy to monitor without any guesswork. While the fryer is operating, it is extremely quiet and does not produce a huge amount of exhaust heat from the large exhaust vent at the top. What surprised me is that it has a pre-heat function that heats the interior and alerts you to when to add your food to the tray. I like this feature because you are not guessing how long or what temperature the food starts to cook at. One of my favorite features is the temperature control, which allows for precision cooking. Whether I'm searing a steak at high heat or gently dehydrating fruits, I have complete control over the cooking process. The built-in timer with an auto-shutoff function ensures that I never overcook anything. The 10.5-quart capacity is perfect for cooking for my family and guests. I can easily prepare large meals or make prep meals for the week, saving both time and energy. The non-stick grill and air fryer tray are a breeze to clean, which is always nice. Overall, the Bella Pro Series 10.5-qt. 5-in-1 Indoor Grill and Air Fryer is a kitchen powerhouse. That is why I can confidently give this a 5-star rating which I do not do often. It's versatile, efficient, and has made cooking easier and more enjoyable. I highly recommend this appliance to anyone looking to elevate their culinary skills and simplify their cooking routine. An air fryer is always an investment that pays off in delicious, perfectly cooked meals every time. The large easy-view window, interior light, and digital control display on the Bella 5 in 1 grill/fryer are top notch and add a level of sophistication and enjoyment to air frying. I undoubtedly always recommend Bella brand fryers but especially like this pro series 5 in 1 grill/fryer.
