Toaster has a range of settings of 1 through 6. Settings 4, 5, and 6 will burn regular bread. Toaster needs more and finer toast setting in the lower range of 1 through 4. Would recommend to a friend with a caution about settings.

Nice little toaster, just be careful with the time

I had to go through a couple different cycles to understand how strong the heating element is. So I would recommend keeping an eye on it the first few times you use it to avoid burning your stuff. Overall, it's a good little toaster and I like how it looks.
