I did think the insert came out for easier cleaning but it doesnt, the lid also does not detach making it kind of a hassle to clean, but fries well.

More importantly no one keeps deep fryers that actually use oil in stock anymore I guess. I needed this last minute and Best Buy was the only place that had something in stock. Everyone has air fryers now. Be advised it is not for making meals for more than one or two individuals. It is small.

bad lid
