A couple years ago we got a coffee maker with an insulated stainless carafe because we always seemed to break the glass ones. However, there were a couple of things we didn't like about it: You couldn't see how much coffee was in it, and the pour spout always caused dribbles of coffee to run down the front of the carafe. So we decided to try this new one and go back to a glass carafe. Even though the "cups" are only 5 oz, the 18-cup carafe is still a pretty giant pot of coffee. It's great to be able to make that much, but it's also pretty heavy when it's completely full so no weaklings allowed to pour it. The spout works perfectly with no drips any more. Overall, we're very happy with this coffee maker so far. Here's a summary of some pros and cons: Cons: When full, it's 90oz of hot liquid Glass carafe, while nice to see the coffee level, will probably eventually get broken The "pause and serve" valve does tend to drip a little after removing the pot Pros Controls are intuitive and easy to use The water level is clearly marked on the front of the tank The coffee maker has a nice smooth shape, easy to clean Cleaning cycle will be a handy feature Pour spout works perfectly and doesn't dribble Makes 18 5oz cups in about 12 min Aging timer is a nice feature so you know how long the brew's been sitting there Hot plate definitely keeps the coffee hot Nice that it includes a reusable filter Two year warranty

This Bella coffee maker would be ideal for those who drink more than the average amount of coffee in a few hours. It makes up to 18 5-oz. cups. This one is easy to operate and the controls are intuitive. You simply use the nice glass carafe to fill the water reservoir, put in your coffee with the included scoop and hit the Brew/Off button. An extra nice feature is that when brewing is complete, the unit will start a count and show the time since brewing was complete. You can select the Keep Warm time you want, at which time the counter will stop. You can program a start time like most coffee makers have. This one comes with a permanent filter but you can also use paper filters with the permanent filter which I did. The coffee maker will sense when the reservoir is empty and stop or you can hit the Brew/Off button to turn it off. I noticed that when you remove the carafe there is a spring loaded button that is supposed to stop any additional drips from coming down but this didn’t work – a few drops will fall, so be prepared to wipe that up. This is a basic coffee maker, the coffee was very good, it was easy to use; so I do recommend it.

For 199 days, this was the best coffee maker ever. Then it wasn't. I bought this from Best Buy on June 13, 2023. On December 29, 2023, it stopped working.

It makes great coffee. But, after making only a few brews, I noticed within a week the plastic water reservoir had cracks formed at the bottom. Although there were no actual leaks, there was a lot of fog inside the water reservoir after each brew. I contacted Bella Pro customer service and was advised to get an replacement unit. I decided to give it another chance. Though, when I received the new unit, I checked inside the water reservoir before I even got to do the initial clean, and sure enough there were some cracks on the new unit too. Within a span of 1-2 weeks I returned 2 of these for the same issue and got a competitor's coffee maker instead. I am disappointed because the coffee it brews tastes amazing.
