Not too heavy. I had no problem turning it off sooner than the timer was set for. Didn't take much of a "learning curve" to figure out how I liked my food cooked. I am using Olive Oil drizzled lightly over my potatoes with coarse Kosher or Himalayan Pink Salt. Cleans up great. Don't even need to put the tray in the dishwasher. Glad I got the touchscreen vs the dial.
