I do not like it! We bought it in March and I used it several times. It either toast it too light or too dark. I do not like wrapping the cord under the toaster.

This toaster is very lightweight and the color is more gray than black stainless, but the real problem was that it burned one side of tthe toast completely black, even on low setting.

Wide-slice toaster that does a great job

Since I've gotten this toaster, I've made toast with different sizes of bread, English muffins and frozen waffles. It did a great job with all of them, toasting evenly on both sides. There is a digital countdown on the front of the toaster. No matter what darkness setting you select, it's a 2 minute countdown. The time is the same, but obviously if you set it darker, the heat will be stronger for those 2 minutes. There is a cancel button, so you can stop the cycle if you want to. There are also buttons for Defrost and Bagel. I was not familiar with the Bella brand prior to getting this toaster, but so far I'm impressed.

I've only ever owned one other toaster, so I don't have a lot to compare to. However, this toaster is far better than our old one. The Bella Pro Series is a nice improvement. The digital countdown time is nice. Once you know your personal setting that you like best, you can dial it in and verify that it's the same each time. This toaster also has three buttons. Cancel, defrost and bagel. Cancel stops the toasting immediately, defrost adds a little extra time as does the bagel button. I don't freeze bread, so I can't speak to how well the defrost button works. I have used the bagel button for english muffins as recommended by the user manual and it toasted them perfectly. This toaster does a great job of centering the bread for even heating. Our old one always pulled the bread to one side. It also heats evenly across the entire slice of bread, there are no uneven spots. The lift feature is nice as some pieces of bread will sit low enough that you would burn your fingers trying to grab them. However, this toaster is light and when you pull up on the lever is usually ends up lifting the entire toaster. A little more weight would help this. The removable crumb tray is nice and pretty much standard on all toasters. My one complaint is that they call it a touch screen. That's a bit of a stretch. It's really push button as you are not interacting with a screen. Other than that, it works great.

Toasters are generally mundane things that people don’t give much thought to. So what can a new toaster offer these days to move the needle? Well, this Bella Pro Series toaster has a digital readout and touch controls. These aren’t going to do much to change the toasting quality, but they do bring some advantages. What do you look for in a simple, counter-top toaster? I look for two things. First, consistency in time-in-toaster. Toasters have a dial to select the degree of done-ness, often with a scale from 1 to 10 or something similar. If I set the dial at, say, 4, I expect that the toaster will toast the bread for the same length of time at that setting each time I toast a slice. If I move the dial to, say, 6 to toast something and then later move it back to 4, I expect it to toast for the same length of time as when I previously had it set to 4. I don’t want a toaster that returns the toast burned the first time I toast something at a setting of 4 and then return the toast too light the next time. The second thing I look for is consistency across the piece being toasted. I don’t like one corner of the bread slice being dark while another corner is light, and I don’t like streaks of light and dark toasted areas as though the bread was toasted on a charcoal grill. The Bella Pro Series toaster does fine in both of these measures. The digital readout counts down the time-in-toaster starting at a value that corresponds to the dial setting, which has a scale from 1 to 7 plus a “reheat” setting below the 1. Setting it to 1 gives a toasting time of about 1 minute. Setting it to 7 gives a toasting time of about 3.5 minutes. Settings 2 through 6 give gradations of time between these extremes. What’s best about all of this is that you can see the timer counting down, so you will know exactly when the bread is going to pop up. That’s useful. The “reheat” setting is simply a shorter toasting time, about 40 seconds. There are three touch-buttons on the front of the toaster. One says “cancel,” and the function of that one is thus obvious. The second one says “defrost,” and pressing this right after you push the lever down adds about 20 seconds to the toasting time. The third one says “bagel,” and pressing this one adds about 10 seconds to whatever toasting time is selected. I don’t know how useful these really are because you can accomplish the same thing by just increasing the dial setting. But they’re there. I’ve toasted bread slices, bagels, and frozen waffles in this toaster, and all have turned out fine. I do like how evenly whatever is being toasted is toasted. No light or dark areas, and no streaking. And I do like the timer!

Bella Pro Series 2 Slice Toaster with Touchscreen This toaster is definitely an upgrade from my previous toaster. it has an attractive design with stainless steel on the body and a black control panel. The slots are extra wide- 1 1/2" so that it will fit extra thick slices of bread or bagels easily. The buttons, LED timer and dial are easy to read and understand. There are 7 settings on the dial to customize the level of browning you like. 1 is light and 7 is dark. The different toasting options are bagel, defrost, reheat and cancel. Once you pick your number and lower the toast, the timer will start. It's a nice addition so I know exactly how long it will take before it's ready. The crumb tray is also very easy to remove and replace when it needs to be cleaned. This toaster works amazing with frozen items. I press the defrost button and turn the dial to "3" and it lightly browns my waffle perfectly. My old toaster would need to 2 rounds of toasting to heat it up and then it would always be too brown just to get it hot. And if I need to just warm something up that I haven't grabbed out of the toaster when it was ready, I can just reheat it and not toast it some more so it doesn't get darker than I want. This toaster is stylish and works great. I highly recommend it for all of your toasting!

The Bella Pro Series toaster is a very nice toaster. I like that when you adjust the toaster you get a digital readout. It does help to get consistent toast. I also like that you can adjust it after you push the toast down. The display is bright and the numbers are large so it is easy to read. My previous toaster had a hinged crumb cleanout. This one has a pull/slide out tray. The tray is not very noticeable and if you didn’t know it was there, it is hard to find. The top has a little bit of a ridge around the outside edge. I think this tends to keep some of the crumbs in the toaster even if they fall off coming out of the toaster. The bagel function seems to work well. The inside is nicely toasted and the outside is not. It is also wider than my previous toaster, so all my bagels fit. They didn’t always fit in my old toaster. If you press the lever down and notice that the timer is more than you expected, it is tricky to get to the time you want, sometimes it is easier to just cancel and start over. If you know what setting you like, you may want to stop, adjust and start again. The knob clicks as you turn it. There are about 4-5 clicks between each number, so that helps with consistency. Then you can see the timer count down. The buttons aren’t physical buttons. They are more like small touch screens. They don’t react immediately; they take a second to work. If you press the cancel button, give it a second to react. All in all, I do really like this toaster. The digital interface takes a little getting used to, but it really does help with consistency.
