If you look down into the slots the elements are not evenly situated. Some of the elements stick out into the slot while others are even with the heating element board. This causes the bread to brown unevenly on each side or the bread.

Terrible!

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this toaster based on the number of positive reviews, but from my experience, this toaster is one of the worst toasters I have ever used. First of all, in order for the bread to toast slightly, the toaster needs to be on the #5 setting; on #6, the edges burn, before the bread can toast. I noticed that some of the coils on the outer-side of the toaster turn red while most of the coils on the inner-side don't. The coils toward the top of the bread slot turn red, but the ones in the middle don't, resulting in burned edges while the middle of the bread is still white.
