I had never used an air-fryer, so I really did not know what to expect. I soon found out that all the uses that I had heard in social discussions were mostly true. The Air Fryer can air fry, bake, sauté, steam, grill and roast. It can cook vegetables and meat and even frozen fish sticks! Little or no oil is needed and that, of course, leads to healthier cooking and eating. The Bella Pro Series 3.5 qt model has a frying basket that holds and cooks up to 2.8 lbs. A non-stick crisping tray that inserts into the basket and the basket itself are both dishwasher safe. The Air Fryer cooks at 1400 watts and it cooks the food with circular heat. This technology works much like a convection oven. The product has several safety features. There are two manual controls that must be set to 1) temperature desired of your recipe, and 2) a timer to measure the length of cooking. Whenever the basket is removed during the duration of the timer, the timer itself does not stop, but the unit does. As soon as the basket is inserted again, the unit starts again. But the timer has remained continuous in its count down. This is a safety feature that seems very important to me. Stainless steel heating elements give the unit the ability to heat up faster and to recover quickly. One very important step to remember prior to starting the unit is to set it on either a trivet large enough for the unit or a placemat. I put it on the cork backing of a substantial placemat. The frying basket/bottom of the unit gets very hot and can easily damage your countertop if something heat resistant is not between the counter and the air fryer. If the Air Fryer did not get hot, then it could not be of high-performance circular technology cooking that is required to produce fast, crispy and evenly cooked food. A safety habit I have already formed is to be sure both setting dials are in the off position and the unit is unplugged before leaving the product alone. My favorite recipe so far is the Sweet Potato Waffle fries. They are cooked to be crispy and are delicious. There are many recipes with vegetables, etc. that I am anxious to try, but so far, I already know that I will find this very useful for a variety of food groups.

There are better products available. If you're looking to simply try out an air fryer for the experience, this one is for you!

What a big change from using a toaster oven! Eliminates the mess with deep frying with all that grease and oil. Quick and easy to get foods such as French Fries, hot pockets, and breaded chicken. Can’t wait to experiment with new recipes and meats. Size is compact and works for a small family. Nice thing about this, it actually pretty simple to use. Temp control and timer control, almost dummy proof. Set it, and forget. Just don’t overload the basket. Clean up is a breeze being the tray and pan are dishwasher safe. Nice addition to the kitchen!

This air fryer, is not worth it to have. Everything sticks to it, it’s just not worth owning.

Didn't try this air fryer after reading all I would have to do before and during the cooking. Took it back.

Let me start by saying I’ve seen many airfryers on the market but was very skeptical on how they work. They basically are just a small convection oven but heat so effectively that you food cooks quicker. I never knew you could cook fries without a deep fryer but my goodness this cooks them better. I also cook chicken for my toddlers, chicken wings for myself and that is just the beginning. You can cook just about anything in this unit. Controls are easy, cleaning is super easy and it saves energy and time vs heating your oven up and waiting 45 minutes to get the same results this one does in ten minutes. I love it , every one with kids needs to get this.

I am not impressed by the performance of the air fryer. The cooking time was longer than expected.

The paint is coming of from the inside i need a better on again..i have try 2 so far.

When you put anymore than a single layer of food it cooks very uneven and not pleased.

It was good until the plate/grill/base started peeling. No wonder it was on sale. It started peeling after several uses. I would never recommend this product to anyone. Started using it February. Bought it December. If only I knew this is poorly made, I could have returned it right away. Very disappointing.

It smelled like burn every time I used it...not sure why

As my summary states, the useful elements - the pan and tray - are both dishwasher safe. You slide the tray out, pop the pan out, and place them in the dishwasher after use. Amazingly simple. The pan is nonstick, and so far I haven't had to scrub anything off. The operation is also painfully simple. A timer knob which serves as the On/Off, and a dial for the temperature. One thing that might've made the timer switch even better would have been a built-in preheat timer, but it's simple enough to just twist the knob for an extra 3 minutes to preheat the fryer. The pan uses three rubber feet and friction to set the desired depth, which is probably the only thing I found annoying. Sometimes, when trying to adjust the pan, it would slide/tilt too easily, especially if I was trying to pull food off to make room for a second batch. A light pops on when the unit has reached the desired temp, and it dings when the timer runs out. So simple. No or only trace amounts of oil needed to cook, and the results are wonderful. In our house, sweet potato fries, hash browns, and tater tots are a breeze and come out restaurant-crispy with almost zero prep time and minimal cook time. And, no grease/oil to jar up after you're done. That alone makes this worth it.

I’m not sure what the rave about the air fryer is for. I can assure you that this one made me tell everyone that an air fryer is pointless. The food wasn’t good and the cook time wasn’t better because you have to prep it and wash it etc.

It doesn’t cook efficiently at all. For example, I have been cooking fries at the highest temperature for over and hour now and they are not even close to being dine. . It was a huge waste of money.

I have been using this all week to make chicken nuggets, fries, and even homemade tortilla chips for the kids. This is so much better than a deep fryer or getting out a pan and making a huge mess. It's so simple to use and has plenty capacity to make all the meals my kids love!

Super disappoint was used 10x not the black non stick coating has began to peel off I recived this around May 7th and its June 4th has not even been a month.

it has a very bad after taste of food it tasted like plastic. So disappointed of my purchase i wish I can return it but i already had already trashed the box
