Timer cannot be turned down once the desired minutes are set so it will count down after you take your food and unplug it. It works just fine tho gets the job done.

I love the heck out of it! Easy to use, easy to clean. I just made my lunch (franks in a blanket) and they were great! Superb for making pizzeria-style/tasting pizza! The BEST pizza reheating tool EVER!

Also the numbers on the time and degrees have already started to come off. Still giving it 4 stars since the food comes out great.
