Did not get it for the tea function as I do not ever want odors mixing into my coffee or tea down the road. Using it strictly as a kettle and love the hold temperature functions and the glass. Bought for these reasons and am extremely satisfied. Not a fan of the beeping but my wife loves it because it tells you when your water is ready.

I use it in my office to brew green tea. It replaced the water boiler because this has the right temperature for a lot of beverages.
