If you hit the “warm” button the device warms it for a few minutes then shuts off. It will not remain at the warm setting until you turn it off. When you make the tea, some tea flakes escape the softer and whirl around and end up at the bottom of the device. Not a fan...

Perfect for making tea!

I have six of them and brew up to four containers per day. That allows me to have two fresh cool containers in the fridge ready for use and the four I brew I let sit overnight to cool. They go in the fridge in the morning and I've got plenty of tea for the day and plenty to share. These are awesome. You can fill to the top past the maximum fill line as long as you don't use the highest setting which causes the water to boil and overflow.
