I dont know if it’s a temperature sensor but after a few uses, rust is forming around the thing. Material is of poor quality. Not sturdy, not for heavy use.

One thing bad is the smell of the boiling water. I use filtered water, but after boiling water with this kettle, it tastes strange. Hopefully this will go away as I use it more.
