I’ve used the new Bella STIR 5.3 quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer to prepare a few different recipes now, and overall I’m pretty happy with it. It arrived safely in the retail cardboard box packed into an outer box, like most small kitchen appliances, and everything was packed well enough that nothing was damaged. Unboxing it was simple, just pull everything out, give the bowl and accessories a quick wash, and you’re ready to get started. The bowl, splash shield, paddle, whisk and dough hook are dishwasher safe, and you just wipe down the mixer head and base with a damp cloth when you need to. Getting this mixer set up is about as easy as it gets. You press the tilt-head button to raise the head, lock the stainless steel bowl into place, attach whichever accessory you need, attach the shield if needed, lower the head, and then turn the speed dial to the setting you want. It’s very basic and easy to understand, which I actually appreciate. It comes with a quick start guide and an instruction booklet that walks you through getting started, explains the accessories, gives care and cleaning instructions, includes warranty information, and even has a cookie recipe inside. The mixer comes with a 5.3 quart stainless steel mixing bowl with handle, a flat paddle, balloon whisk, dough hook and splash shield. I used it to make yummies like cheesecake, cookies, and frosting for the cookies. The mixer did a great job with all three recipes. The attachments were easy to put on and take off, and they stayed locked into place while mixing. The bowl also stayed locked into the base well without any problems. The mixer has suction cups on the bottom side that actually do a good job helping keep the mixer in place on the countertop. The 500-watt motor and 12 speed settings give you a nice amount of control. I like being able to start slow and gradually work my way up, especially when mixing dry ingredients or frosting, so flour and powdered sugar aren’t flying everywhere… and trust me, I've had that happen before. The splash shield also works well too in case you are mixing something that splashes a lot. It attaches around the mixing head and twists into place, and it really does help keep ingredients from splattering out of the bowl. I’m the kind of person who can make a mess pretty easily while baking, so I think this splash shield is going to be nice to have. One of the first things I noticed about this mixer is how lightweight it is. If you don’t like the traditional heavy metal stand mixers, or if you have trouble moving those around, this bella mixer is going to feel like a breath of fresh air. It’s very easy to pick up, move around, and store. For some people that will be one of the biggest selling points. You don’t feel like you’re dragging out a piece of kitchen machinery every time you want to make cookies. That being said.. the downside to having suction cups on the bottom means that you might have problems pulling it off of the back shelf of a kitchen cabinet, because it wants to hold onto the shelf. I would suggest Bella to consider adding a new accessory to future models. A thin plastic base that the unit can rest on, when not in use, something that will release from the suction cups with ease and allow them to stay clean also. The lightweight design does make me question long-term durability a little bit. When you tilt the head back and look inside, a lot of what you see is plastic, and the whole unit just doesn’t give me the same confidence as one of those heavier mixers that people keep for decades. There is also a little bit of give in the mixer head. If I press down on the top, it lowers slightly more, and I really noticed that when the splash shield was attached because there was a tiny gap that closed when I pushed down on the top. Maybe that bit of movement is intentional, but it does make the mixer feel a little cheaper. The stainless steel bowl works well, but it also feels lightweight to me. When I turned the bowl by the handle to unlock it from the base, I could feel a little bit of give in the handle. I’m not a welding expert, so maybe it’s perfectly secure, but just looking at it and feeling it, I do wonder how that handle will hold up after years of use and if it’s just going to snap off one day. That’s really my biggest question with this mixer. It works well now, but only time will tell how well the lighter plastic and thin stainless steel parts hold up over the years. I also don’t know if I love the tilt-head button… with this button, the head can spring back pretty quickly if you’re not holding it. It works fine, and I got used to it, but I do think I would prefer a lever or a slightly smoother release. The mixer also sways a little while running. The suction cups keep it from walking around the counter, but you can still see and feel some vibration and movement, especially while mixing heavier ingredients. It wasn’t anything extreme, but it is noticeable. There is a cord wrap area underneath the mixer, which is nice, but I wouldn’t really call it full cord storage. You can wrap the cord to shorten it, but there isn’t a great place for the plug to tuck away neatly, so it still kind of hangs out the back. It’s not a huge deal, but I do wish they had designed a cleaner storage solution for the cord. I also want to mention that I don’t think this is necessarily a completely unique mixer design. I’ve seen strangely similar models from other brands/company names. That doesn’t really say whether it’s good or bad, it’s just something I noticed. One thing I do really like is that it comes with a limited two-year warranty. A lot of products like this only seem to come with a one-year warranty, so seeing two years gives me a little more confidence. That being said… I’d love to see Bella push that to three or even five years in the future, especially on a product where long-term durability is one of my main questions. Overall, I’m happy with the Bella STIR stand mixer. It’s simple, lightweight, easy to use, and it worked well for the cheesecake, cookies and frosting I made. I don’t think this is the mixer I would recommend to someone expecting a premium all-metal machine that will definitely last for decades. But for someone shopping on a budget, especially if you can get it on sale, I think this is a really good option. It has a nice size bowl, useful accessories, 12 speeds, a 500-watt motor, and it’s easy enough for almost anyone to use. I do recommend it for everyday home baking, as long as you understand that it is a lightweight mixer and not a heavy-duty professional stand mixer.

I’ve had mixers in the past. Never got a KitchenAid for myself since it wasn’t worth it for the little I use one for, but I did buy one for my mom one Christmas and it was amazing. The mixer I’ve had for years was an inexpensive one from Amazon, but was nice, all metal and very solid. But it leaked oil and I never actually got to use it. This year I picked up a pizza oven and I started making my own dough, so I thought this would work well for that. Up to now I was mixing by hand which gets to be a bit of a pain. Good design, and comes with the one attachment I absolutely will use. And compared to the one I never got to use due to the oil leakage, it’s a better dough hook. I’ve uploaded photos showing the difference. I like that this one has a flattened part to help it actually move material compared to the standard pointed end. The bowl is a good size, just right for me making my dough since I do enough for three at a time. Speed knob is easy to use, it moves smoothly and doesn’t bind up. And I like that it’s a rotating knob, not just a lever you slide. Easier to get the speed you want quicker. Noise level is about average. There are suction cups on the bottom like they all have, to help hold it in place on the counter. I wish they had placed the release switch on the back of the neck or something, not on front right by the speed ring. I continuously reach for the wrong location by habit when trying to raise and lower it. Mixing the pizza dough went well. Fastest I’ve ever had dough made. And it blended everything very well, with me just having to lift the stand once to scrape things off the side to get them incorporated with the rest of it. I used a low speed as to not overwork the dough. But there was a lot of flex throughout the structure as it made the dough, which leads to my next point. I’m not a fan of all the plastic. It feels cheap and not very sturdy. It just didn’t remain as stable and solid as others I’ve used. So, I got curious and opened it up. The entire top part is secured just by four screws, so was easy to remove. The part covering the gears for the mixer is held on by two screws, so it was just a few minutes to get at everything. I’ve uploaded photos of the insides. Plastic gears everywhere. So this is definitely a lightweight mixer. Other mixers are described as “heavy duty” and those will generally have metal gears and other internal structural elements so ensure it holds together and lasts. There is a reason this one wasn’t referred to as “heavy duty.” Now, for me, the only thing I’ll likely EVER use this for is pizza dough. And while it had a lot of movement throughout the structure while making it, at no point did I think it was going to come apart. So I should be fine with this. Cake mixes, etc, should be fine, anything that doesn’t make too heavy a dough. The other downside is the lack of an attachment point. But again, since this is almost all plastic, I can see why they couldn’t. But that means some of the other attachments I had are not usable with this one. But face it, this thing retails at about 25% of the cost of the CHEAPEST KitchenAid mixer. There’s a reason for that. As I said, I wouldn’t waste the money on KitchenAid for myself since I don’t USE it hardly at all. So the price point here gives me an option I wouldn’t otherwise have for an actual stand mixer. Knowing what you’re getting into, and not needing something that can use attachments, this may be a good fit for you, as it was for me.

The Bella Stir 5.3-qt. Tilt-Head Stand Mixer is a capable enough mixer that should please most everyone for it's price-point. The mixer is simple enough to assemble. The clear plastic splash guard seems awkward at first but once you see how it attaches, it becomes second-nature and becomes easy to put on & take off between uses. The overall mixer is constructed of plastic and as a result, is very lightweight. Additionally, because of the plastic (vs. much more expensive & heavier mixer products...), the hollow nature of the chassis makes for a louder than usual operation. It's not too terrible loud but does exhibit a few rattles - in use. The motor noise is somewhat loud but smooth in character. Again - price point appropriate. The power cord is long enough for those countertops with nearby AC outlets. Honestly, a cord another 12 inches in length would have been preferred. We decided to tackle two different common recipes; whipping cream and making chocolate crinkle, cookie dough - with the latter being a solid challenge to get right before refrigeration & baking. While attempting to 'spin up' your typical grocery store whipping cream that comes in a carton, the Bella Stir did an admirable job producing a firm & fluffy whip. No real complaints on this specific task. Moving over to the cookie dough batch, the Bella Stir 5.3-qt. Tilt-Head Stand Mixer handled the task of mixing thoroughly a dough that thickens up pretty darn quickly. What resulted was a consistent, smooth yet expectedly very firm consistency that ended up producing excellent chocolate crinkle cookies. They came out of the oven perfect! In both mixing scenarios, the Bella Stir did what it was supposed to do. Our only real complaint was the fact that in both cases, it was required to aid in the mixing with a hand spatula because the mixing head attachments simply do not reach the inner wall/surfaces of the stainless bowl. For the money, that is Ok in our estimation. No demerits for that limitation... Pros: Lightweight making it easy to store away and pull out for countertop work Solid build quality in terms of how the assembly/disassembly goes and the functionality of knobs, tilt mechanism and attachments. My wife's been using a hand mixer for the past few years and has been wanting to get a stand mixer. Her general opinion can be summed up as "this is a massive upgrade from my hand mixer". The biggest feature of the Bella that she liked was the size and weight. The stand mixer is a standard size compared to others, but it's also lightweight enough that it makes taking it out for use and storage much more enjoyable to manage. The Bella also has suction cups on the bottom of the device which help keep it secure while in operation. My wife said that you would've assume the Bella was much heavier than it was because of how it stayed in place while using it. It also doesn't hurt that she finds the design to be really nice and clean. She said that using the mixer was easy and intuitive. She just clipped on the attachment you need, press a button and off it goes. The Bella comes with 3 different attachments: a dough hook, whisk, and paddle. With any stand mixer, there's going to be some noise. These are not silent or quiet devices, but she said it sounded less noisy than our blender, so she was happy with that. Cleaning was also pretty straight forward, no complicated or special cleaning requirements. The bowl, attachments, and shield are all dishwasher safe. That last part's a requirement for me because I hate complicated, hand washing instructions. My wife told me to say that she highly recommends the mixer for it's results, design, and how easy it is to use.

The Bella 5.3Qt tilt head mixer is a modern version of your mom's old mixer. Sleek, with a flat top that allows it to fit under your counter cabinet. This mixer is a 500w powerhouse. We have had the mixer for about 2 weeks and my wife finds excuses to use it again and again. The mixer comes with three attachments. A dough hook, paddle, and whisk. A stainless bowl with handle and cover are also included. The mixer has a locking top cap and a locking bowl. There is a rotary dial with12 speeds of power. The dough hook expertly neads the dough for my wife as she has used it to make both pizza and bread. She was completely impressed with the mixing of the dough. We liked the locking bowl feature as it assured us that the bowl would stay in place. A great idea. As is the tilt head. My wife said she can easily access the bowl to add ingredients as you mix the contents. All the attachments also lock into place easily and release just as easily. The unit works flawlessly and thankfully lacks the weight of your mom's mixer. It is much lighter and has another great feature, suction cups. That assure you the mixer isn't going to walk off the counter. In fact the suction cups work so well you need to provide a bit of strenth to release them. At 5.3 qts this mixer has excellent capacity. A long electric cord makes it easy to use. The white color blends in well in any kitchen. Clearly Bella thought this design and product execution out. It is a quality product that surely will give us many years of use. The mixer comes with a 2 year warranty. Bella has a great product here. Very happy.

I picked up the new Bella Stir stand mixer as a joint venture for my daughter and me. She would make all of the food, and I would eat it. She had been begging us for the Kitchen brand stand mixer, but we could not justify the price. This Bella stand mixer is the perfect price to invest in a stand mixer if you are not positive you are going to get a lot of use out of it. So far, we have used it a few times a week and do not regret it one bit. The Bella Stir stand mixer is pretty light weight and does feel a bit flimsy at first. The housing is all plastic and does not immediately feel premium. But once you start using it, you have no doubts that it will handle all of the mixing recipes you can throw at it. It has a single knob on the side that you simply turn to adjust the mixing speed. There is also a button that lets you raise, then lower the mixing head. The Bella mixer includes a bowl, splash cover, and three mixing attachments. We were able to use all attachments for mixing and kneading. My only wish would be that you didn't have to push the button to lower the head back down. But maybe it is to prevent any incidental lowering or dropping of the stand mixer. Overall, I feel that the Bella Stir stand mixer is the ultimate value for a every day use stand mixer. It is very sleek looking and looks great on a modern counter top. It has also given my daughter a great excuse to make delicious treats for her dad.

I have been using a hand mixer for years. I decided to try out a stand-up mixer. This mixer has cut down on my cooking time. I decided to make some oatmeal cookies and then a small cake. Wow!! I didn't have to turn the mixer off to add the ingredients. The splash shield locks onto the mixer, which allows adding dry ingredients and wet ingredients to the batter with ease. The blending of the sugar, eggs, and butter without having to stop the mixer and pull batter from the side with a spatula was amazing. When adding the dry ingredients there was no flour/flour cloud going all over the place. When adding wet ingredients there was no splashing. The mixer was so quiet and spun with smoothness. The batter came out fluffy and out of the 5,5 quart stainless steel bowl with no dry pockets left in the batter. The bowl locks in place and unlocks with ease. Once the batter was all mixed and ready to go into pans, the 5.5-quart bowl was not heavy to lift. I had tried to make bread before, but the kneading process was way too long. The dough hook is great. The timing is less than before. The finished batter was not sticky and came off the hook with ease. Cleanup was a breeze. All the attachments unlocked for cleaning. Whipped down the mixer to store it away. I had to remember that the mixer has suction feet. This keeps the mixer in place so that it will not move while in use. I am really glad I was able to upgrade. I highly recommend!

As someone who occasionally does some baking but is more likely to make things like sauces or spreads I was hard pressed to spend a huge sum on a mixer. This mixer is set at a great price and has enough feature for my needs. To start it has a five quart stainless steel bowl that is perfect for home. It has twelve speeds so it will take care of most home needs. It has a convenient cover for the bowl that has an opening that allows you to add ingredients while it is use without creating a mess. The unit comes with a dough hook, a whisk and a flat beater all of which are dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. The head of the unit has a locking tilt function for both down and up which is nice so the head won't fall when up. The unit also suctions to the counter so there is no movement while it's in use. As for performance, the 12 speeds are easily adjusted with the turn of a knob. The unit is stylish and looks good on the counter. If you want to make the occasional bread or cake without breaking the budget this is an ideal unit.

If you're looking for a budget friendly mixer with decent capacity, then the Bella Stir is for you. The mixer comes with all the necessary attachments you would need to mix dough, batter, or whipping. There's also a clear shield with drop funnel for adding liquid while preventing splatter. The stainless bowl is a great feature and at 5.3 quarts, it the right size for most recipes. I like that the mixer has suction cup feet, it helped it stay in place on my non-porous quartzite counter. The mixer is considerably lighter than any mixers I've owned, which is due to its entirely plastic build. The 500w motor is capable of making pizza dough without getting bogged down. I've found many things that would deter me from suggesting it to others. First and foremost, the build quality is entirely made of plastic, and not very sturdy plastic at that. The mixing attachments are coated with a non-stick polymer, which will start flaking off into the mix after a short time. The motor is quite noisy due to the hollow sounding plastic cover. While making the aforementioned pizza dough, it was bouncing and warping all over the place, thankfully the suction feet held it in place. I don't foresee this mixer lasting very long in my kitchen, but then I bake 3-4 times a week. I think this mixer would be fine for the beginner or occasional baker who needs a mixer to round out their kitchen but doesn't plan on using it outside of special occasions. For the entry-level price point, it's pretty decent.

I was supposed to receive a slate color mixer, but an oatmeal (off-white) color one was in the box. Since all the appliances I have are dark colors, I was disappointed that I received the wrong color, although oatmeal may be the perfect color for someone. The mixer comes with 3 beater accessories (dough hook, paddle and balloon whisk) and a splash shield. It has 500 watts of power. The controls are very simple. There is a push tilt button to raise and lower the head and a dial to increase/decrease the speed from 0 to 12. It has rubber suction feet. The inside part where it hinges is plastic and looks like it won’t last long - although there is a 2 year warranty. The bowl and beaters are metal and are top shelf dishwasher safe. I was skeptical that the bowl would fit on the top shelf, but it did. However, due to the design of the bowl, the bottom retained about a cup of dirty rinse water at the end of the wash cycle. Removing the bowl splashed the dirty water all over the clean dishes on the rack below. The solution in the future will be to remove the mixing bowl last. The bottom of the mixing bowl of the pricier competition is flat. Unless there is a patent on the bowl design, Bella should consider doing the same. The mixer is moderately light weight and I can carry it with one hand. The suction feet held while mixing, but even at a low speed the entire unit rocked a bit. I found that the beaters didn’t reach the outer edge of the bowl and I had to finish the mixing with a spoon and spatula. I think it has the power to mix heavier doughs OK, but being light weight, I expect to have to hold the mixer in place to keep it from rocking. Overall it is an acceptable mixer for the price. It’s not as sturdy, heavy or pretty as the pricier competition, but will tackle most mixing tasks at a reasonable cost.

Bella has been a company we’ve watched for the last few years. In the world of kitchen products, many brands exist, but only a few stand out as unique. In many ways, Bella is one of those companies. Their products are not expensive, but they have an aesthetic and quality that exceed their price point. The colors they choose and the accessories they offer are top-tier for mid-range prices. This 5.3-quart standing mixer is a great example. We received the white color, which doesn’t look like regular white but rather “oatmeal,” as they call it. It’s a lovely shade that looks and feels premium. The mixer has 12 speed settings and includes several mixing accessory attachments. If you bake or mix many ingredients into sauces, a mixer is the perfect kitchen tool. We are replacing an older, lower-quality mixer and are excited that Bella’s holds the same amount but has a smaller footprint in our kitchen. It weighs around 10 pounds, making it easy to move or store in higher cupboards if necessary. The mixer itself has a tilt head, which makes it much easier to add ingredients while it’s operating and helps prevent a mess. Although the mixer looks and feels premium, there are drawbacks to the lower price ($130). Mainly, the sound of the mixer. It can be louder compared to others we’ve used in the past. The motor works hard and is capable, but it is louder than average. However, it’s nowhere near the sound of a blender, so depending on what you’re expecting, it’s probably not that bad. While you’re in the kitchen working away, a little bit of noise isn’t going to be annoying anyway. If you’re into baking or cooking in general, or know someone who is, this is the perfect balance between affordable and high quality. It’s a great gift, as the colors they offer (Aloe, Denim, Oatmilk, and Slate) are all modern and blend well with contemporary decor.

Only had this a few weeks and used it a handful of times so far, but it has made a good first impression. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Right out of the box it felt lighter than I expected, which turned out to be a good thing since I move it in and out of a cabinet depending on what we are making. I got the white and it looks nicer than I thought it would from the pictures. Clean and simple, and it fits in with the rest of our kitchen instead of screaming for attention. My wife is the one who wanted it but I somehow became the person who has been using it the most. I was also happy it came with everything you actually need to start. You get the flat beater, the dough hook, the whisk, and a splash shield that snaps over the top. The splash shield has been more useful than I figured. It keeps flour and batter from jumping out of the bowl, and it has an opening so you can pour ingredients in while it is still running. The tilt head is the part that won me over. You lift it up, drop the bowl in, click your attachment on, and you are ready. No wrestling with anything. The bowl size seems right for us too. 5.3 quarts covers a normal batch of cookies for the family with room to spare. POWER AND MIXING: I figured a smaller mixer might struggle with heavier stuff but so far it has held its own. I have tried cookie dough and whipped cream and it kept up with both. We probably won’t use the dough hook much but it’s there if you need it. There are twelve speeds and I have only really needed a few of them, but I like having that low setting so I am not wearing a cloud of flour the second I turn it on when I’m not using the included shield. CLEANUP AND EVERYDAY USE: The bowl and attachments rinse off easy and go in the dishwasher, so cleanup has not been a chore. The suction cup feet on the bottom are a nice touch. They grip the counter and keep it from creeping around while it runs, even when the paddle is working through something stiffer. It is also quiet enough that I am not yelling over it to talk to anyone in the kitchen. If I had one small gripe this early on it is actually the suction cups. While they are nice and needed, past experience with other small appliances with suction cups has shown the machine usually last longer than the suction cup. I would like to see some beefy rubber feet instead. BOTTOM LINE Early days, but for a family that bakes here and there and does not need some giant machine taking over the counter, this is off to a good start. It looks good, it is easy to use, and it comes with everything you need right in the box. Happy with it so far.

This Bella- STIR tilt head mixer brings style and performance to the kitchen! It makes quick work of all your baking or cooking needs! Out of the box, the mixer is pretty straight forward to assemble, and I am surprised by how easy it is to take apart and wash. It comes with a 5 quart mixing bowl, which is stainless steel and has a nice sized handle on it. It feels very well constructed and cleans up well. It has a clear bowl cover that locks onto the mixer head that has an opening to add ingredients. It does a great job at shielding the contents of the bowl from flying out, especially with the whisks. It comes with 3 attachments that are easy to change out. A dough hook, a paddle, and a whisk. They are all very thick and sturdy attachments and super easy to clean as well. The motor in the mixer is pretty quiet but wow is it strong! It churns through dough so easily and does such a fantastic job mixing. It definitely does what it is supposed to! The tilt head is released by a button on the side of the mixer, and it comes up to about a 70 degree angle. The bottom of the mixer has suction cups on it to help keep it planted to the counter when operating, but it does tend to slide around still a little bit. It is not fully able to be placed under cupboards, unless yours are specifically high sitting. If you have lower hanging cupboards, the mixer has to sit out on the counter quite a bit in order for the tilt head to clear the cupboards when raising it up. The suction feet make it more of a chore to move back under the cupboards when cleaned and storing. Overall, this a very handy mixer and has been a great help in the kitchen helping prepare meals and make dough. It is sleek and powerful, and easy to clean. It is definitely worth getting to help with your baking and meal needs!

5 years ago we got rid of our old stand mixer because it was such a pain to move around, move house, and just generally to deal with. We've missed our stand mixer, but did not miss it when we moved last time around! We are in love with the Bella Stir Stand Mixer. It's so lightweight and compact that if we were moving it to a cabinet when not in use, it would be no problem. However, it's such a nice looking machine (we got the Oatmilk color) and takes up so little counter space because of it's size, we're keeping it on the counter 24/7. The reason a lot of the other stand mixers are so heavy is so that the it doesn't move when in use. This makes more sense in that it's light but has suction cup feet so it stays in place. I've had zero issues of movement when making bread dough or when my partner is making cake. It just works! Other stand mixers are EXPENSIVE, and while this one is plastic and may not last quite as long compared to an all metal one, I'd rather have this in my life and less than half the price but all the performance. Sure it doesn't have that front attachment point that others have allowing you to make spaghetti and such, but we never used that. Would love a more upgraded model that melts butter! Other than those cons, we can't stop using it. It has all the attachments you need, is easy to use, and comes in at a great starting price. Made my mother-in-law jealous with how easy it is to pick up and move to a cabinet! Baking at home is one of those bonding activities that my family does at least once a week. Nothing too professional, but it could be anything from pizza to a quick dessert from time to time. Until now, we have been using hand mixers to do the job, and we noticed that the outcome was not as good as expected and was much messier than desirable. Not being professionals, and given our limited use, we have always been hesitant to incur a big expense. The arrival of the Bella STIR 5.3-qt. Tilt-Head Stand Mixer, in fact, covers exactly that part of the market that needs a quality product without sacrificing power. With a capacity of a little more than 5 quarts, this mixer is adequate for many portions. With the three attachments, you can handle everything from pizza dough to cake cream. Switching between those attachments is as easy as you can imagine, and even the kids do it at home. It functions very stable, with the machine suctioned to the table, and with a 500-watt motor, you can work at more than 10 speeds based on your needs. Motor-power is probably something to consider in relation to your needs because other machines on the market may be more powerful; however, so far I haven’t noticed much difference. Two important aspects are worth mentioning. One is how easy it is to clean the bowl and attachments in the dishwasher. The second aspect, which is very important for a kitchen tool, is quality, and I see a good sign in the fact that the manufacturer includes a two-year guarantee. Absolutely perfect for my family needs.

I had a fancy stand mixer by a reputable brand that I absolutely loved to use. Unfortunately, I had to give it away when I ended moving. Now, I was in need of a new stand mixer but I was hesitant to spend a huge chunk of change again. The Bella Stir fills that need well. The design language is simple and minimal which is just the way I like it. The Stir stand mixer is very lightweight. This makes it so easy to store and take out over and over again. Now, this goes hand in hand with the build quality and durability. There is a lot of plastic. It does feel "cheap" and I have concerns about the long-term durability of the device, especially one with as many moving parts as a stand mixer. However, I do understand that this is the only way that they could deliver this kind of value. That being said, I think with proper use, this will play a role in my kitchen for years to come. For mixing dough, cake batter, and meringue, I had absolutely no complaints. The attachment heads do seem to have a bit of a shorter reach than I remember my previous one hand, so I did have to manually scrape the sides a bit more frequently. With tougher and heavier dough, it did get louder and rattle. It definitely isn't meant for heavy duty use. One of the things that I missed was also the inability to use accessory parts like meat grinder, pasta machine, etc. However, once again, you can't argue with the value. All in all, this is a good machine and a great value. I do think though that if you want a machine for heavy use for years to come, then this isn't it. However, this is a great alternative for the casual baker.

The bella STIR 5.3-qt. Tilt-Head Stand Mixer – Slate is my first stand mixer so I have no other brand stand mixer to compare it with. I can say that right out of the box, I have been impressed by the functionality of the Bella Mixer. First, it is lightweight and I can easily carry it to any part of my kitchen workspace and secure it to my counters with several suction cups that are on the bottom. The mixing bowl fits tight and secure. It has a 360-degree splash shield to guard from splash backs. The shield has a built-in access port that allows me to add ingredients mid-mix without making a mess The handle is large and allows easy removal of mixing bowl and easy pouring of contents. The 12 speed settings give me more control over my dough kneading. The three attachments are the Beater, Balloon Whisk, and Dough Hook. All attachments are BPA free. Cleaning up is a breeze, because the mixing bowl and attachments stainless steel surfaces. So far, I have had no problems mixing my dough ingredients. All of my ingredients seem to blend together quite uniformly. The few minor problems I see for this comparably inexpensive stand mixer revolves around the firmness of the dough. The attachments don't really reach that far enough down in the mixing bowl to pick up everything. When that happened, I merely stopped the mixer and scraped the untouched ingredients down the sides of the mixing bowl. Sometimes, the Bella STIR 5.3-qt. Tilt-Head Stand Mixer – Slate can shake or vibrate as the speed is turned up towards twelve. Also, when I try to make dough that is very dense, the Bella Mixer can again shake or vibrate some. Overall, even though there are higher calber stand mixers available, I am completely satified with the operation of my Bella STIR 5.3-qt. Tilt-Head Stand Mixer – Slate.

The bella STIR 5.3-qt. Tilt-Head Stand Mixer is a good everyday stand mixer. It's fairly lightweight at just under 10 pounds which worried me about the mixer "walking" if I used the higher speeds. While I like my other stand mixer, it is too big to leave on the counter and too heavy for me to keep pulling out as I used to. However the suction cups keep it firmly in place. It has a strong motor and had no issue handling the pizza dough I made. The noise made matches the function and speed but I think it isn't as noisy as my other one and seems to vibrate less but that may be due to the strong suction cups keeping the mixer itself still. There are three accessories, a beater, a whisk, and a bread hook. All do their job well and all accessories are dishwasher safe. It comes with a splash guard the has a place to add ingredients which I appreciate and wish my other had one while the kids were learning to cook. There are twelve speeds which can be reached slowly turning the knob. The stainless steel bowl has a handle making it easy to handle. I have not had to stop and scrape the sides making sure all is mixed. I have difficulty using a hand mixer so the bella STIR 5.3-qt. Tilt-Head Stand Mixer has become a welcome addition to my kitchen. It allows me to continue contributing when I thought I might have to be relegated to buying contributions. I definitely recommend it if you are looking for a sturdy basic stand mixer.
