Powered Hub. Nothing Special. Just like every other hub you will have issues with it from time to time. Yes, you see a j5create hub and a Dockcase Hub in the pictures.

Works as described, small and compact, easy to put out of sight

I needed additional USB ports for a new work laptop. I gave this a try, and while it works fine for this purpose, I would still need to unplug/plug in my keyboard so my PIV card would be recognized. I have instead picked up a Thunderbolt docking station for more money, and then I didn't need to plug all my peripherals in each time I moved the computer from work to home. This is certainly recommended if you only need a USB 2.0 hub. But if you're using it for more of a docking station, get one designed for that purpose.

Works well enough but wish it was a little heavier and/or maybe came with stickers or velcro or something to fasten it down somewhere so it doesn't want to slide around when you're trying to plug something in. I had some velcro strips laying around though and so I ended up taking care of that. Shortcomings aside, it is a way to get 4 new powered usb connections at an affordable price.

I use this black USB hub for more USB ports on my PC. I haven't run into any problems with it. The only item I needed to change out was the USB-A to USB-B cable. The one it came with was too short. I had to get a longer one so it can fit my desk better. The short cable functions fine for those who don't need extra length.
