My local best buy did not carry anything above 2.0 and I wish they did because that would seriously help me with my shortage of USB ports on my pc. Other than that just set your expectations accordingly

It has a power adapter for higher power USB devices but it is not required, we don't use it as it just supports a few wireless dongles.

The flat black color helps keep your desk from looking cluttered, and the power cord is plenty long so that you can position it wherever you need to on your desk.
