It does get a bit hot at times but my iPhone has a safety feature and stops charging until the temperature comes down.

When i opened it up and used it, i notice it works very similar to the apple one. I have no complaints. Youll get about 35% from dead on one charge.

Overheats very quickly

My phone and the portable device charger got scary hot - I will not used this product anymore - I toss the box so I am unable To return it - but be aware - I am Not sure if I got a defective unit or this is it .
