I had gotten a desk and I had a spare monitor. I was able to give myself a dual monitor setup between my laptop and the spare monitor so I wouldn’t have to throw it away. Saved me from throwing out a perfectly good working monitor. It easily detected and connected from the HDMI port. No lag or at least not noticeable at all. I was also pleased with the price. I purchased a few adapters over the last few years and this brand does not disappoint and it’s affordable, does it what is supposed to do and have not had any issues.

This is an excellent product. It is exactly what I needed. I tried the VGA to HDMI, but that did not solve my problem. Then I tried the HDMI to DVI-D and it immediately did what I needed it to do. It works connecting an older desktop monitor to a newer laptop.

I have an older monitor that is not HDMI but it's still in great shape and gives a great image and this allowed me to connect my laptop to it.

I was able to connect an old monitor (with a DVI input) to a new desktop computer which only had HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. This cable worked perfectly in a single cable (no need for adapters on either end), and cost under $10. I will be buying it again for future projects.

I had an old laptop that only had display-port and DVI output going into a TV. Works great for 1080p. Noticed immediate improvement going from VGA. Probably won't work with higher resolutions because it's only single channel DVI.
