Luckily for me, all I need is to connect a docking station for a mediocre business laptop to an old 24" 1080p monitor. If I were trying to do gaming or 4k HDR Dolby home theater I would be worried about the various DPort and HDMI subtypes.

I have a Dell docking station that has one HDMI and one DisplayPort interface, so needed an inexpensive adapter and this one fits the bill. Works like a champ with no flickering or disconnecting, and maintains refresh rate and color clarity. Recommended!
