The product itself is great but I would not recommend Best Buy because there prices for this are triple if not more then what you can get it online at Amazon for. Like I said I needed it fast otherwise I would not have bought it.

Many customers have purchased this adapter to go from a laptop to a monitor. It's not clearly explained on the BestBuy site that the laptop requires the DisplayPort and the monitor requires HDMI port. In my case, it's the opposite where my monitor has the DisplayPort and laptop has the HDMI port. I spent hours on research and troubleshooting only to discover it's incompatible. I also believe that this adaptor is only compatible with DisplayPort++. However this is an assumption since it never worked for me. My suggestion to BestBuy is to clearly explain the adapter's directions. The box came with no directions on connecting or explaining the directional input/output of the adapter.

Screen remains blank, nothing happens. BestBuy should improve the description of this item. Out of the 4 I ordered, only 1 output at the correct resolution. The rest capped out at 1080 and often defaulted to lower. Don't buy. Go find a better brand.

You will plug it in, it will work, then the screen will eventually go blank for a second or two every couple of minutes. It's very annoying.
