Sad should have opened box before leaving store. wanted USB TO HDMI was not what I got. just opened box on my way out of town to use Wrong Adapter...Never will I do this again. thought it would save me time. Now another trip TIM.....Time Is Money.

Doesnt support 1440p or higher so i basically have nonuse for it and felt to lazy to return it so whatsver

Purchased to connect hdmi output to a display port monitor and it did not work. After further research these only work one way (to connect display port output to hdmi monitor). To go the other way, you need a powered or active adapter (powered by a usb port) which Best Buy does not carry. Other than that the adapter seems fine.

i bought this for work and was an open-box item and but did not work at all. it was either broken or defective. i had thrown away the box immediately which was my mistake so i couldnt return it.

One star for now. I had two montiors hooked up to a intel HD4600 graphics output on a PC. t VGA - Monitor worked for years HDMI - to TV worked fine I bought a new Dell 24" monitor that only has HDMI inputs no vga. So I thought no problem, I will just hook this converter to the Display port output of the PC to the HDMI input of the new monitor. Nope black screen only. HDMI works to monitor fine. I'm not buying a new graphics card to have what I already had. So have to return the Dell Monitor and get one with more input options like VGA and HDMI.

It didnt really work for me since i tried to connect 2 monitors so i gave it away.

Was not what I needed but it worked it was manigable

Not giving real reviews anymore since best buy stole all my banked points and doesnt allow them to accrue anymore unless I get their credit card, which I do not want, and I wont be renewing total tech membership again or buying anything for my company from here in the future. Some thanks for spending 30-45k a year at your business. Dont buy anything here if you can avoid it, they couldnt care less about their loyal customers, obviously.

Turns a nice monitor with g/freesync into a generic pnp montior, dont use adapters with nice GPUs and Monitors, just spend the extra money on a cable

I purchased to adapt and HDMI cable to a docking station with a displayport video port. I connected two monitors through the adapters one HDMI and the other was the adapted connection. The monitor with the adapted connection intermittently goes black. It does this incessently as long as it is connected. This works well with a single monitor. I replaced this with an HDMI to display cable and my connection is fine. I would imagine most people looking for this adapter are trying to configure for a multimonitor configuration. It is difficult to recommend in those cases.

It doesn't lock in, but it works. Kinda. I had to shave off some of the extra plastic around the plug with a grinder in order to get it to plug fully into my video card. Still better than paying 45 bucks (lol Best Buy have you no shame?) for an actual hdmi to DP cable.

I specifically bought this because I have an original Oculus Rift, and my graphics card only has one HDMI port. The graphics card has 3 display ports though. Unfortunately, my Oculus will not work connected to this. Similarly, my 65" 4K TV when connected through this can only run at 1080. Terrible product that does not meet any kind of useful requirement of translating from display port to HDMI.

Unfortunately, this product did not work for me, and I will be returning it. The display monitor (both HDMI and DisplayPort capable) would not recognize the video signal with this adapter. Multiple troubleshooting steps using different HDMI cables (without this adapter) and DisplayPort cables showed that the video signal from the computer was good, and the monitor's HDMI and DisplayPort ports were accepting good signals. But, no signal to the monitor when using it with an HDMI cable.

Purchased 2 for connecting tv displays to computers. They lack the "lock in" bit so it did not work on one. Had to pick up a replacement at the local supply for 3x the cost and it did the trick.

Ordered two. One worked, one did not. while i was trouble shooting the doubtful one, time passed and I was unable to return it. had to eat it. Found doubtful adapter to be faulty.

Came broken when I got it and had to bring it back to return it

Out of 3 purchased, item "A" worked for 1 week and ceased to work, item "B" (replacement to item A) did not work at all, item "C" dispayed well for about 4 weeks, but go "black" in sleep mode. The monitor stayed grey which may have caused premature burnout.

Did not do the trick of connecting iMac mini (HDMI) to Asus 49' monitor (display port).

Did not support my laptop, an error occurred and had to return it. Very disappointed

It is good quality but they don’t explain that this is only a out hdmi not an in witch means you cannot hook this to a monitor not worth the $5 I paid.
