I need to connect it directly to my Subaru to make the GOS map show on screen. the new phone has a new interface to type C. this converted the USB connection in the car to type C and it works like a charm

Being able to hold and talk with someone is ideal. The adapter is exactly what we needed. If you have an Android this adapter works perfectly.

Good cheap alternative to a new adapter

It comes with a C to C connector which is useful for transferring all the apps and data from the old phone to the new. Rather than buy an expensive C adapter plug, these C - USB plugs work with the many adapters you already have and costs half the price or less.
