Bought a computer from Bestbuy and ordered a docking station for monitors. My docking station does not work with my USB-C, the Geek Squad recommended this and still does not work with my docking station. Waste of money for me. I live 2 1/2 hrs from the nearest Bestbuy and the return time will expire before I go back.

I bought this item on December 29th after talking to an associate at Best Buy to make sure it would charge my husbands brand new camera. When we tried it on the next day, it didn't work. I tried to return it in January within the 30 days after I got home from a death in the family in Pennsylvania and they refused to take it back.

Saved me since my pc doesn’t have usb c ports. Haven’t noticed any lag with them and the little cord has made it so convenient to not lose it and will attach to everything! And you get 2 of them!

The USB-C type conversion that these items feature allows me to successfully utilize a normal USB adapter with them so it is a power supply and/or it provides charging capabilities for a portable speaker. They have proven to be effective and I would recommend it.

There are now WAY too many versions of USB. You got A, B, micro-B, mini-B, C…and there’s probably more that I’ve forgotten. Oh wait. You also got the version to worry about. Is the USB-A port version 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 3.1???? And now you can’t trust if what looks like C is really C. It could be Thunderbolt. And then you gotta look up the specs of whatever the device is to determine if the cable you plan to use will handle the speed of the Thunderbolt port. Is it 5, 10, 20, 40….??? It’s enough to make you crazy. So you don’t have to dig too far and wonder, these adapters will do the job rated up to USB 2.0 speeds (480 mbps) and if you’re using them for power, up to 15 watts of juice. If you’re staying inside those confines, you’re officially covered. They are small, handy, well-made and I like them so much, I’ve bought 2 pair so I always have one handy no matter where I might be; on the road, in my office or in the studio.

Maybe it's not having enough new equipment but I have USB A ports aplenty. I needed some USB C options as more of my devices and cables are two-ended USB C only. These work great for converting USB A's to USB C with one drawback, they are not made to actually identify as a USB C port. And some devices may not work with this adaptor. That is NOT a problem with the adaptor itself, as these are a good product and work as intended. Our devices are "smart" and they know if they are plugged into a proper port or not. These adaptors will work for general USB C purposes, non-fast charging, etc. They are handy to carry in a device bag or have one for multiple locations. They work as intended.

I picked up the Best Buy Essentials USB-C female to USB male adapters, and they’ve been exactly what I needed. Sometimes it’s the simplest accessories that make the biggest difference, and this is definitely one of those cases. Right out of the package, they felt sturdy and well-made, not flimsy like some cheaper adapters I’ve tried before. They work seamlessly with my devices.
