We bought it as a temporary thing while we waited for my wife's desk to show up... The key board and mouse are both assigned to the same USB chip so you only need 1 port and the keyboard and mouse are low power with a auto sleep feature to save power (as most are now) the only downside is the mouse is small... And I mean really small fits my wifes hand well but my hand is to large to use it efficiently. If you have small hands or little space go for it but if you hont have near child size hands it can get uncomfortable.
