There isn’t any other usb keyboards in the room to get signals mixed up and batteries are brand new.

The guy at Best Buy picked it out for me to replace the one I received with my IMac that also broke after a week. You have to push slowly and firm on each key.

After every change, due to the year-long warranty, different areas of the keyboard will not work.
