Could be a manufacturing defect or possibly due to slight differences in design between the genuine Samsung filters. Ended up ordering a new Samsung filter after using this for a few days. Recommend staying away and spending the extra few dollars on a genuine part and not this garbage.

I bought it because it was the only compatible model available. Upon coming home, I found it already had water in it and had been used. To what extent, don't know. Poorly done Best Buy. Should not have put a used water filter back on the shelf.
