Altho it does not state certain samsung filter code modules this was the exact replacement for Samsung's DA97-08006C water filter. I'll definitely buy this again once mine is due.

I applied a thin film of silicone grease to the o-ring seals and it fit in with no struggle. Of course I had no way to test the filtration effectiveness.

It was easy to remove and install a new one. It lasts a long while and works great. The water is great and the ice is almost clear.

So, I used it every day, a lot. But, the cost of the original replacement its great and started to cost me a lot because I had to replace it even less than 6 months every time. This essential replacement cost less and taste the same. There are no residue and last even longer. An no brainier.

I’ve seen on past review people say their filter light stays on after replacing. Just remember to press the filter button after replacing and you’re good to go!
