    Best Buy Membership has Value

    The membership is a great way to receive priority service, obtain discounts in advance of the general public, and extended return periods for busy people like myself. I miss earning rewards given the amount of $ spent, but the trade off with client service as well as early release and special member discounts has proven to be beneficial.

    If you are buying several big ticket items, it is a good deal. But once you’ve saturated your tech purchasing, it isn’t saving you anything…. I give it a conditional recommendation.

    Got duped into this at the store buying headphones. Paid for a membership and product was not useful. And didnt get my whole refund back.

    I was able to get the black friday sale price after I had bought my xbox before black friday because of this memebership which was pretty cool. Haven't gotten to explore all the benefits yet, but I look forward to it

    I am so glad I have the total tech membership. I bought my Roku television from them and being terrible with technology, when the men delivered my t.v., they took their time in explaining everything to me. I even had to have them come out a 2nd time to help me out with it. I do all my shopping for media, appliances and and electronics at Best Buy.

    I was in a big hurry to purchase a new laptop as the one I had was not working properly. I explained that to the salesman in Levittown and I also told him I wasn't looking to break the bank. He walked me over to 15" laptop that was on sale and I grabbed it. The salesman was so helpful that he took part in setting it up for me and I was out the door in less than a half hour. The laptop is performing wonderfully.

    Longtime Customers No Longer

    After years of membership we will not be returning to Best Buy. After purchasing a new MacBook + a docking station, I found that I could not connect 2 additional monitors at once. After spending over 1.5 hours on the phone with Geek Squad and 3 additional trips to the store to work with Geek Squad there, their 'experts' finally figured out that I had to convert the 2nd monitor to USB-C for it to work. (despite there being 2 HDMI ports on the docking station that they sold me, had me return once, and insisted had a driver problem that they attempted to correct for HOURS). This, however, wasn't what lost Best Buy our business; they lost our business because after all of this fiasco - I asked them to comp me the cord to convert my 2nd monitor from HDMI to USB-c --- since I had spend a good deal of money in their store and then a lot of hours, lost work time, gasoline, and incorrect 'fixes' from them. Their answer .... 'We are running a business so we can't give away products'. The offered me 20% off. So to save probably $20 dollars... Best Buy & Geek Squad lost customers forever.
