A slightly absurd membership for pretty high price

It would also be very nice if consumers didn't have to pay to have a good return window. Also, I haven't gotten a meaningful benefit from the service, as the open box item I set up the membership for was in bad condition, so it was essentially a waste.

The person with whom I spoke made the appointment for an after work time and took copious notes on the issue I was having--including that I need my computer for work and could not leave it overnight. When I arrived they said I needed to leave it for several days, though I offered to stay and wait however long was needed--Oh no, I was told, there are so many others before you. I left with no help, having added time to a long workday with no reward. I understand others needing attention and taking my place in line. What I do not understand is being told something can happen if I can wait, arriving and being told that was not possible. That is not a responsible way to treat customers.

iPad, purchase and screen protector
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Buying the iPad was very easy and we had a nice girl help us, but putting the screen detector on with another story first we went to the geek squad. They were too busy. They sent it to the phone part and they were too busy. Then we ended up going back to the geek squad And finally got it done I think it took 45 minutes at least to get it done. Kind of got the runaround in the store.

Do I foresee Buy Plus Membership" benefiting me ?

My Best Buy Plus Membership definitely has not provided me with any savings either through sales or benefits. Throughout the years I have purchased many large ticket items and had always purchase the extended warranty to go along with these purchases... For instance the 8K TV that I have purchased this year along with an extended warranty supersedes any return policy that My Best Buy Plus Membership could provide... So basically if you're buying anything from a microwave oven to a 8K television you're going to purchase the extended warranty for the product and purchase anyways... Another example when I purchased, a 3D TV in the past I had purchased it extended or two for it the 3D television set, that I had purchased along with an extended warranty who television apparently died with one week left on the extended warranty... As soon as television set died called Best Buy and can't wait to complete Squad is set up an appointment to possibly be a repair Within 3 weeks "after training a few c computer or motherboard chip in the TV, they swapped out the control panel for a new one and lo and behold the TV is still working till this day as a sub TV on the garage... So if for some reason you feel you need an extended return policy for a product that maybe sketchy or catchy or in other words you just want to face safe and not spend a few hours for the warranty extend it warranty... So for me some one who normally purchases an extended warranty, for anything over $100, I reallyhaven't seen any benefitsto having a "My Best Buy Plus Membership"... Seems the sale offers I received basically improved everything lead already purchased? Or in one case in particular to get these sales price you would have to purchase two of the same item and one case in particular... A quick example I've been pricing portable air conditioners so I wouldn't have to run the central air when I'm home alone, early this summer Best Buy had some great deals on Furious portable air conditioner... Of course if I was to buy a 3-500 air conditioner I would still get the extended warranty for it, making my best five membership return policy useless... "Footnote"; if you read My Best Buy Plus membership, return policy, States returns are subject to a restocking fee... If the microwave I purchased stopped working or if the button stopped working would you want to pay or you stocking fee? There was something that I found interesting as far as contracted services such as cell phone no matter what the My Best Buy Plus membership. According to Best Buy in relatively clearly stated print any Equitable restocking fees can be waived by the store associate... So from Bangor Maine to Vero Beach, FL I've only had one problemwith a person that works for the Geek Squad as far as honoringa warranty... Onlyone problemwith a local store manager regarding the deliveryof a new TV8K that just would not work or turn onproperly... "we won't even go into what made you consider a bait and switch tactic for that particular store" I know if I mentioned stores names ornames of employees that's to work at the storesthisreview would not be published I know this for a fact" "So if you buyan 8K TV or for 32-in computer monitors" by the extended warranty, and do not rely on "My Best Buy Plus Membership". As far as the 8K TV that did not work when it was delivered, I am definitely happy I paid the installation or setup fee, for Geek Squad to set up the new TV when they saw the TV wasn't working they were able to box it up cut it off back to the store... The store manager at the Galleria should had definitely given at least of 25% discount for the intervenes of waiting three weeks for replacement TV... And yes there were other brands of 8K TVs available in the store, for a thousand or possibly $3,000 more than what I was already spending... So as far as "My Best Buy Plus Membership" Extended Return Window — Exclusive member prices, exclusive access & free 2-day shipping. Exclusive deals on products and discounts on select services. Same Day Delivery. My Best Buy Membership. Never seem to apply for me or anything I purchased... Yes, "My Best Buy Plus Membership". Has not benefited me, as of yet... Do I foresee "My Best Buy Plus Membership" benefiting me in the future? Only time will tell for the next few months while I still have the membership if I would bother to renew it or not. This review was a little longer than I would have liked it Thank you for taking the time and reading this. *
