We recently updated a kitchen with all new appliances from Best Buy and signed up for the Best Buy Plus membership. We are so thankful to the sales rep for telling us about it and taking the time to explain it. Not only, did it save us a lot of money but we received enough in rewards, ($500), to upgrade our internet hardware. Plus, now we get special pricing deals that we would not get without the membership. We are so glad we signed up for this. Thank you Best Buy!!

After many months of wavering on whether to get the membership I was finally able to get one when I decided to update my MacBook. I was using gift cards for the transaction. By the time my excellent associate, Julia, finished explaining the benefits of the program, we applied it to my order and a $50 promotion made it a free add on for me. What a value add after dropping almost a $2000 investment on my new system! It is already paying dividends. I was informed of the ability to price match for an extended period and I went back the next and got another $80 plus off of my purchase. I think the Plus plan is the sweet-spot of the membership plans available and look forward to the next year benefits and services at Best Buy.

I loved having a membership with Best Buy. One of the best perks is being able to price match when buying an item from them. You get deals all the time and have protection over the items that you buy.

If you are a repeat Best Buy customer it’s worth it for the shipping and return policy.

It’s not that I don’t love the benefits, but I have had these benefits for years without having to pay yearly for them. We have always used Best Buy for our purchases, so we have spent enough yearly to always maintain the highest level of rewards and benefits. Now we have to pay 49.99 yearly for the same thing, but it’s making us possibly walk away from Best Buy as the main point for purchases. The discounts you get on most items can be beaten easily by a quick web search, which never has been a thing at Best Buy.

Worked out good purchased screen protectors and was damaged store changed without any issues with membership no extra charge

Bought a Sony receiver. The Sony rep was there at the time and was doing the 'wink and a grin' strongly suggesting that a Memorial Day sale was coming up where the receiver would be heavily discounted. With that inducement, I paid ~$50.00 for the membership and was able to get a $200 refund when the sale did occur so saved $150. I don't really need a lot of 'stuff' so don't know if I'll renew but at least for this instance, it was very much worth it.

Andrew from the Geek Squad did an exceptional job in custom programming my universal remote control so that it worked precisely as I was hoping it would. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and I strongly recommend him for future work.

Would like to see instore discounts for yearly membership.

Overall, the My Best Buy Plus membership offers decent value, especially for frequent shoppers. The discounts and perks are useful, and I’ve found the Geek Squad support to be reliable when needed. However, I think there’s room for improvement, particularly with expanding member benefits or making them more personalized. I’m looking forward to seeing what updates or new features they might introduce in the future.

Considering the cost vs benefits, this membership is a good value.
