Really good membership

Gives you a 60day return policy instead of 15 days and allows you to bring it in and get a rebate on the device if it is lower in price from when you bought it. Overall I have no issues spending the money on something that is very useful to me!

Wasn’t notified about subscription

Waste of time

I thought maybe things had improved. I recently was in store for a new back up camera for my son’s car. It was fine, I got talked into the plan because of lots of deals and geek squad support. Since then I maybe a significant purchase of a tv and sound bar and speakers. I set the delivery and install date and had a few questions regarding the purchase. I tried calling the store but I can’t get a hold of anyone, even to just know if my contact was working so I could stop in in person. Not an option. I have emailed a few times with limited response. I called and let me name and number for a manager to call back but nobody did. I then learned that my tv is not in stock so the delivery was pushed out 3 weeks. I went in the store, of course my contact wasn’t working and someone else told me that I could not change my order or risk pushing the delivery out further. He also said my install might be complicated, that geek squad might not be able to do it, and if they couldn’t, the would just leave my tv on the floor. So basically, no customer support for a $5000 purchase, no value from geek squad, no timely delivery, and on top of it, I get bombarded with garbage emails flooding my email. So I think I am going to cancel my order, maybe just buy something in stock, install it myself, cancel my membership thing and my credit card. It just isn’t and enjoyable experience. Josh

A lot more useful than I expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.To be completely honest, I was worried the membership wouldn't be all that useful and I originally purchased it after getting a really good deal on an open-box device. I still saved money compared to buying new even with the membership. After that purchase, I found an even better deal on another laptop and ended up returning the first one and keeping the membership. However, I realized I found that deal as it was a member exclusive on BestBuy's website and it gave me 2-day free shipping on my order. Genuinely, worth the $50 I paid.

Paid to price match; can't price match anyway.

I get the membership and later attempt to price match only to be told I can't because the item wasn't currently in stock at the store I was attempting to price match with. This was something they had failed to mention when I was purchasing the membership even though I made it clear from the onset that the item wasn't in stock at the other store, the entire point of trying to purchase it at Best Buy. So esentially I paid $50 for nothing given how little I would be in Best Buy due to distance.
