This membership is a real value, and peace of mind on purchases is an extrinsic value on products, like the excellent service.

I would buy the membership if you plan on coming back to bestbuy or you shop here frequently otherwise there really isn't a point to getting a membership other than getting stuff for a slightly cheaper price in the future.

I like that it saves me money and I have the potential to save more, and I get extended warranties. That is a really big deal.

Number 1 you get a manufacture's 1 year warranty with just about every major appliance. Not just Best Buy but other stores as well. The money you spend is a wise choice in case the product breaks down. This is a money maker just like a car manufacturer. They run those cars all day and night so they know how long the engine and other components should last. The warranty is just another money maker for the company. What I would do is offer the warranty after the 1 year expires. Doesn't that make good business sense.

I recieved this through a black Friday promotion. If you are a frequent shopper it is worth it for deals but I cancelled it now that I only buy things every now and then.
