Perhaps as time goes on, there will be items of interest at a more competitive price/value where this membership will 'pay for itself'. Right now, I'm not seeing it.

You will make back your money immediately. I bought a membership and saved $800 on a Yamaha receiver. You can’t beat that. A couple of years ago I bought a wall oven and the membership covered the installation cost and saved me cash.

I purchased the membership when I was buying an item that offered a drastic discount with the membership so it basically paid for itself.
