    I recently went to your stores in Augusta, Maine and Portland , Maine in an attempt to purchase a new Subwoofer. I was initially told in Augusta that Best Buy had none fore sale. When I commented that the store website had stated that they did have units for sale the salesperson immediately Stated, after consulting her phone, that yes indeed they did have some available. I then asked her if I would be able to hear them, she said yes. When I arrived at the area in the store where they were located only two of the displays were working. Another salesperson told me that I wouldn't be able to have them demonstrated, but I could still buy one. He was corrected by another worker who said all he needed to do was to alert their IT person to come over to help. That worker came to fix the display, but I was told it would take 15 minutes to reboot. I came back and that display was now working, but I went to another one and it was not. Since I had now spent over an hour of my time, I left without purchasing anything. A few days late I went to the Portland store thinking I would be able to find working displays. They too could not demonstrate all of their models due to displays which were not working. Again I was told I could still buy one of their subwoofers. At both locations, salesmen had to search their phones for simple questions I asked regarding the equipment in the area of the store in which they worked and were supposed to have expertise. I can search the web also for information. What someone needs is the ability to converse with another person with knowledge of the equipment to render opinions and reasons why a purchase of specific units should be considered. I am astonished that in both experiences, salesmen thought that I would make a purchase of an expensive piece of audio equipment without being able to listen to them. I subsequently made my purchase at another retailer. All this being said, I wonder of the advantage of owning a membership at your chain and unfortunately, cannot clearly see one.

    This membership really helped me with my purchases well as looking for items In a good price. They send it through review if it’s open box and is amazing as well as the usage of it. I recommend the membership more then anything when you buy in Best Buy

    I have been dealing with a brand new TV, which was not delivered the day it was supposed to be. I called geek squad sunday to see if I could get someone to explain some things on the TV because the installer failed to show or explain anything to me. Monday, this tv picture froze on me 5 times. The first geek squad agent asked if I had plugged the tv to get it to work again and that seemed to be the popular response by every agent. The second agent sent me to sony and I got the same response. He told me that was first so he could start a case for me. The last agent I talked to said I had a defective tv and did I want a new TV or have repair come to my home. I chose repair and I think I'm happy I did. Repair came out Thursday and it took him 30 sec to find the issue. Apparently the person Saturday who did my install was third party and did not know what he was doing. He even told me Saturday he didn't know much. Repair had everything working in just a few minutes. He told me to always insist on geek squad repair any time I needed the tv worked on as third party people here are not capable of knowing how to work on tvs. At this point the tv is working beautifully, but the picture freezing is intermittent. I have another appointment Sunday to try and learn the basics of the tv.

    I bought a new laptop and the associate helping me with the purchase recommended adding the MBB+ membership. Normally I don't spend money on things like this, but the additional discount I received essentially paid for the membership, so I agreed. If you make several purchases throughout the year at BB, it's worth it because not only do you receive special member pricing and special offers on many items, but also free 2 day shipping and extended return times. I'm probably missing other perks, but you can check it out for yourself and make a decision.

    This mid tier subscription is a good buy if you buy any high value tech. I got it mainly to extend return windows beyond the typical 2 weeks. So far I haven't had to use it but the peace of mind is worth the price.

    I really appreciated the advice I received from the staff re buying a 75” TV. When I was not happy with my first choice of TV Best Buy picked up the TV and replaced it with a better choice at no cost. Doing that has made me a loyal customer/member.

    I have not yet had a problem with any items that I have brought also. I just showed up the Geek Squad. They took care of me, no problems. They did not make me make an appointment. They just took care of me right on the spot. I love it.I will do it all again john c

    Signed up for membership plus during a door stopper event where you got rewards that made the membership free. So far, still waiting to see the rewards show up after 2 months but I have gotten free shipping that saved me $10.

    I love my membership as I move back and fourth to California and Texas and sometimes need to make returns this gives me a long enough period where I can return stuff and even find good deals so far this year I have saved about 200 dollars just having this membership
