It comes in handy when what you are buying is only on sale with Plus or making a very large purchase. Otherwise this year I more or less broke even as far as the subscription and what I saved.

Best Buy has always been a reliable place for me to shop for electronics. I like being able to see items in-store and still have the convenience of online ordering. Solid membership for a year. The member-only deals are legit and easy to find on the app. While I wish it included the protection plans found in the 'Total' tier, the free shipping and early access to sales make it a no-brainer for the price. Benefits are applied automatically at checkout, which is very seamless."And I saved 20% on my Warranty plan .really it is a Excellent one.

I bought membership for added protection and peace of mind. While LG provides 2 yr service you have to go through them for any warranty repairs and they assign an outside company to repair. I was told I might have to pay a service call fee. They typically run around $50-100. By paying $49 a year I get the Geek Squad to fix at no extra cost. Contract self renews but you can cancel before renewal date. Thought it a reasonable offer.

To be honest I haven’t seen a ton of value yet from being a paid Plus member. I use to qualify for this level just about every year for free back when it was under the reward membership program, but now that this level is behind a pay wall I’’m expecting more benefits more often for my paid subscription. At this time I’m thinking this service may not be something I continue with after this initial year, but we’ll see.
I purchase a fair amount of either speciality or pre-order items from Best Buy (BB) that take longer processing times and do not benefit from the faster shipping aspect. The most beneficial part of being a Plus member currently is the extended return window, but with a catch! So, in years past I did not utilize returns much, it is a nice comfort but at the same time a bit of a pointless feature if there are no issues that require return…BUT here’s the catch, the one area where this does get 4/5 stars is during that extended return window the Price Match Guarantee is also extended…now this I have utilized numerous times to price match a purchase to Amazon prices as 8 out of 10 times Amazon will offer the same item at a lower price.
I do like the special pricing/events, but have not yet seen “Plus pricing” on an item I actually am considering purchasing…some interesting items certainly but nothing that’s made me purchase, but I’m sure this will change.
If you are not a Best Buy credit card holder I would absolutely not recommend Plus. If you are a credit card hold, who earn reward points then yes Plus is worth the now cost of a program that was once free. The 2-day shipping aspect is OK, but seeing as BB, like all retailers are in direct competition with Amazon, often 2-day shipping is still slower than what Amazon can/does offer on daily bases for being a Prime member.
To be fair I was not a BB card holder I would not be a Plus member and most likely not be purchasing as much from BB these days as I have in the past. Earning point's for purchase for reward certificates is still the only true benefit keeping me a regular BB customer…all things being equal, Amazon is almost always cheaper and offers faster shipping. If BB didn’t price match and offer reward points there would be no real reason not use Amazon.

If you buy lots of stuff from best buy I will highly recommend you get plus member. It offers you significant discounts on lots products along with special holidays discount for instant it was black Friday deal was going on and I had plus member and I was looking for vacuum and carpet shampooer they marked their price down for black Friday and also there was another price written red says plus or total members discount. So I learned they give more discounts if you are plus or total member with bestbuy

I got a Sony tv and love the quality, best buy is a great place to buy a big screen tv, just to be able to recycle a tv or have it installed by them is hands down nobody else is better!. The sales people are very knowledgeable, my bravia 8#2 is so much of an upgrade to my old mini led tv.

In May, I purchased a new Apple TV. One of the Best Buy associates sold me on getting a Best Buy Plus membership. A few weeks later, there was a sale on Apple items. It included the Apple TV. The price was the same, but now it included a free remote control holder. I knew I would have to go to the store to acquire it. The store is pretty far away, but it gave me a good excuse to have lunch with my daughter.
I talked to a couple of the associates there. They said I would have to return my Apple TV and then buy a new one. I told them that didn't make any sense because then they would lose money on the deal. They would have an open box item that they couldn't sell for the same price. I told them that I lived far away and it was the last day of the sale. I insisted on talking to a manager. I know sometimes regular employees have to tow the line, but I knew a manager could help. It took a few minutes for them to get a manager out for me. However, he was very accommodating. He said all he needed was the serial number of the device I purchased. We were able to locate it. He did a little manipulation on the computer to show that I had returned it, and then immediately repurchased it. He gave me the remote control holder.
I know not all companies allow their lower-tier employees to do what is necessary to make a customer happy, but they should. Many years ago, my second job was working for La Quinta Inns. I don't know if it's still the case, but at that time, they gave the desk clerks authority to do whatever it took to make a customer happy, even if they had to give them the room free for the night. Just a little something to think about because I'm sure some corporate person will see this.
So anyway, I have already recouped $10 of my $50 membership fee, with 11 months to go. I'm always watching the emails for specials. I'm probably going to need a new vacuum cleaner before too long and may have to replace my old dryer. I expect that my membership will help with those two items, if necessary.

I bought the memebership shortly before Tax Free Weekend in MA (2025). The computer tower that I bought has gone on sale since then. I was reimbursed $50 via the Price Match Guarantee so the membership has paid for itself. I received two $25 gift certificates a few weeks after the purchase based upon the purchase price ($25 for every $250 spent). Unfortunately, the gift certificates expire after one month. I don't really need anything from Best Buy, but I'm forced to make a purchase or they go to waste. The membership is probably worth it if you make frequent purchases. If you only shop there a few times a year the membership is probably not for you.
