First Thought this would be great but

Charged too much and took way too long.

Not a good value for money.

They make you feel you are a begging when you need service and they seem to lie and deprive you of your service. Why do you have to return my computer back to me with my money after all the promises. My kids make fun of me about trusting Geek Squad. Its a big shame and I'd rather have the manufacturer service than bunch of deceivers. Your services are not what it used to be no matter how much you make us to pay. Thumbs down to Geek squad.

COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY

I let some associate talk me into it when I bought my laptop last year with the promise of discounted repairs (which I break my phone screens regularly so this was my main incentive), installation discounts, virus protection, etc. not only for myself but also my family members. My phone screen broke but they didn't provide screen replacement services for android products, news to me. Then my computer hinge broke after having it for 6 months and they were completely unhelpful. No assistance. No discount. Nothing. I had to send it to Lenovo directly and have my tech-savvy friend grill them to get it fixed. Then I broke a phone screen on my new phone last week and again, no discount, no services, nothing. They even had me drive an hour and a half to Northglenn since they are the only Samsung certified repair center in all of Colorado (even though they had told me Fort Collins was the day before). My grandmother needed a refrigerator installed, again no service, no discount, nada. Then they automatically charged me a renewal fee that was $200 (rather than the $100 I originally bought it for) and I had to call about 5 different people to get it resolved. Complete waste of time and money. Negative 2 stars.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mike (long hair) was terrific when my MacBookPro was hacked, I then bought a MacBookAir because I needed to leave my MacBook Pro to scan, etc. This was during the pandemic. As you can see I bought alot more than the computer and service for it. When I returned after scan of MacBook Pro, I couldn't get anyone on phone, would go direct to store and be told I needed an appointment, even though I couldn't get geek on phone (nobody answered), was rudely dismissed more than 3 times and told I needed an appointment - even tho there was nobody in store, nobody at counter and still told that. Being hacked during a pandemic and buying so many items from Best Buy, only to have a rude geek blow me off was disgusting. Secondly, I went to buy the printer (Brother), the sales person said he couldn't show me how it worked because it was a prototype, but i could have a geek come to my home and set up. I thought that was part of this membership. instead i was quoted a price to set up printer, and a second charge to set up scanner. So I rejected your prices for this service, realize you are just money- grabbers with not one bit of interest in helping me, membership or not. Very disappointing. And to think your CEO asked for donations in the beginning of pandemic. Shame on you. Somewhere in there you've given me 25 pts! Wow!- Please review all the purchases I made and tell me why I should renew.

IT is an extra piece of insurance

How could it be better. By keeping your words, knowing your product and keeping better contact with your customers. Don’t tell a customer one thing keep the system and 2 days later call the customer that the item must be changed and it cost more money. You should know your systems. Or get more training. When you make a mistake then you pay for it, not the customer.

Upset beyond words

I bought a TV and also purchased a cannon printer. I scheduled a 12/1/22 installation with the purchase with Geek squad at the time. I also renewed my membership in Geeksquad at the same time. Next they sent an email to me saying the installation would be 12/2! I asked for an earlier time that day and they sent me a confirmation for 12/3 ! I told them I would be away that day. I went to the Plymouth store to straighten things out and the manager gave me a new date of 12/10 from 12pm to 8pm. I called geek squad at 4pm to confirm that they were still coming, and was told No, that I was not scheduled!!!!!! I then asked to speak with the manager and was told he would call me within 4 hours. I am now waiting for the call. If I don’t get a favorable conclusion to this situation, I will cancel ALL with Best Buy!! I will send a follow up to my conversation with the manager! If I ever get the call!. As of right now, I don’t even give the rating a 1 star it’s - 1.

NOT THE SERVICE WE WERE SOLD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While we really loved the HP ENVY Laptop for the first 4 months (that we purchased with this Service ), in the 4th month after purchase, while primarily using it at a desk, not even traveling with it, an error message indicated a Hardware/Fan Issue. Since stores were closed due to Covid19, we called Tech Support who troubleshooted to verify a Hardware problem. We were told tjhat we had to wait for a store to open to bring it in for Service... which really sucked by the way, but we understand it's not their fault they had to close their stores. When we did get an appointment the week stores reopened, we were told we would they would have to ship it to HP for repair, indicating we would not have a CPTR for 5-6 weeks??? Unreasonable... We asked for them to refund the purchase amount and we would apply it to a new computer right then and there. They were not willing to do that. Instead they told us we needed to BUY at FULL PRICE a New Computer, and Return that New Computer when Our Hardware Failed Computer returned??? NOT THE SERVICE WE EXPECTED WHEN WE BOUGHT EVERY WARRANTY AND TECH SERVICE THEY WANTED TO SELL US IN THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE... But we had no choice. WE WERE TOLD THAT IF ANY ISSUES OCCURRED THAT COULD NOT BE FIXED IN STORE, THE ITEMS WOULD BE REPLACED. WE BOUGHT TOTAL TECH SERVICE + EXTENDED WARRANTEES. APPARENTLY THAT'S FALSE...
