    Typical "insurance with GOOD only if needed but overall overpriced and most never use or unable to solve issues but may be Great if major disaster- just like every other insurance.

    Paid a lot of money to get PC performance optimized. Unfortunately, the work done has continued to degrade performance of our PC. We need to return to the store and have the unit fixed again.

    Staff was great, but despite being assured they were positive they could fix my computer without losing data, after taking the computer in twice (including their wiping the memory and reloading - BTW, they didn't tell me that didn't include the reload of all programs like Office, etc), the computer was returned to me and as soon as I plugged it in, I GOT THE SAME ERROR I STARTED OUT WITH. So $200 later, I got no benefit and had to buy a new computer - from Dell which saved me $100 vs buying in Store. If I could cancel this service, I would because it offers no help to me. Waste of money!

    purchased this with a new laptop needed to use the services for my home computer and downloading some new software... Called then they tell me I can't use it because I need my" own account" even though, I Dan's wife, created and set up the account, made the purchases. I don't want different logins and accounts for one service. then the support sent me to the "billing" dept, which I waited 1.5 hours for a call back turns out this was the wrong dept,so now I am on hold withthe "Core" dept........ 15minutes and counting at 5:40pm - started this journey today around 2:30pm. niiiiice... NOT!

    I liked their kindness but they lied about the cleanliness of my computer which I keep clean and and use air compressor. Also the recommendations they gave me to fix my computer was no help.

    The data transfer was fine but the new laptop setup has problems. The time is not correct. Login is not individualized. I will have to make a second appointment to correct the errors.

    I purchased really for the tech support of home products and not finding the value based on limitations. While 20% on protection plan is a savings, but that is minimal and doesn’t make up for this plan.

    Best Buy Maintenance Non-Existant

    Best Buy support is non-existant. I pay $199 year for annual maintenance and then pay $49 for an in home service on printer and all they do is delete and reinstall. Same thing I had done. Of course it temporarily works then, but what about the long term fix for the problem. I've had the printer for a year and only used about 2 months and every time I want to print I have unplug it and plug it back in. I'm done. NO MORE HP OFFICE JET PRO printeres for me and no more renewal of the annual maintenance contract,.

    Have not used it yet and unsure how it works. I can’t give too much of a review because I have not had to use it yet. I have it for a year so we shall see if I will renew this service

    I acquired this when I bought my Razer laptop. They weren't able to work on my 2012 mac because it was out of date. A fan failed in my Razer laptop that I purchased, I brought it in and the laptop was opened up looked at. I was told if I brought it back in with the part they could replace it. Finally, I brought in my laptop and they said they weren't able to open the laptop because of a warped screw. That screw was accessed fine when they opened my laptop the first time. Sounds like they warped the screw when they put my laptop back together. Just an unfortunate experience all around.

    Brought in an external drive to have data transferred to a new drive. They charged my card $200 up front. Five minutes later said they could not read my drive. Then said to call an 800 number for a refund. Hours on the phone, multiple call backs and transfers, no refund. Every live body I get transfers me to no mans land and the call drops. Even went back into the store, They said I had to call an 800 number that gets you nowhere. They should be arrested for thievery. Manager would not help either. Now have to call credit card company to dispute the charge

    Total tech-support is a waste of money and provides no help other than what you would get anyways from going into a Best Buy if you are trying to utilize the phone line they say will always be me and it is not no one answers if you have a problem they’ll tell you to contact corporate because they can do nothing in the store. However the store did create two tech accounts for me and I cannot utilize either one and no one will help me at the purchase location store.

    Dropped it because the local Geek Squad is no longer permitted to migrate OS with apps to a new hard drive/SSD. They could not handle moving Emails stored on the device to a new larger SSD since "everyone has their email on the cloud these days". I believe they are not allowed to use the tools which come with SSD's to do the migration due to corporate policy. Oh the online support requires you deal with the in person GS even where they used to be able to do equivalent things.

    It's diagnostic but doesn't fix the problem. It won't deal with known DEFECTIVE PARTS (WIFI CARD) OUT OF WARRANTY.

    Terrible service all year. Could not fix the problem 4 times. I had to take it to them, they didn't have any appointment slots to come to the house although I paid for that service. NOW 1 YEAR LATER THEY CHARGE MY VERY LIMITED BANK ACCOUNT FOR A RENEWAL OF $211.00. NO NOTICE. MUST HAVE BEEN THAT FINE PRINT! NOW THEY SAY IT WILL TAKE 30 DAYS TO REFUND MY MONEY. NASTY RUDE 'CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON' WOULD NOT EVEN LET ME TALK TO A SUPERVISOR. I WILL NEVER, EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

    Screwed up desktop-did not back up properly

    They told me they would do a complete backup, they did not cost me over $300 to get some programs back up and running. Lost drawings and invoices, what they saved and reinstalled is a mess. Looking for lost invoice and a plan drawing pops up under a different file extension. They lost many architectural drawings that were not backed up, Lost and gone for ever, would not recommend them period. When I took the PC back they told me that is the risk you take should have been no risk if they had backed up properly.

    Less than poor. I brought in two different devices. Each had a different problem but neither were fixed. Both took over 2months to receive an email saying they were ready. Nothing available by way of the 'app' every time I look at the app. it would say checking in. Then one day all of a sudden it is ready- but it is NOT. I heard we can't fix your problem with this devise both times...we will have to send to to SOMEONE ELSE to get it fixed. Seriously I thought that is what I was paying you for.

    We purchased the tech geek squad because we are senior citizens and felt the extra help would be beneficial. Wrong! they have done absolutely nothing to assist us. My husband called and he got put on hold for over 30 minutes and finally hung up and then called back and it just rang and rang. I called to ask a question and I was referred to the store. Went into the store and the qeeks told us to ask one of the floors guys that they might know how to put the key back on. Wrong again. Please do. not waste your hard earned money on GEEK Squad.

    I’m not entirely sure about this product and the difference between total tech support and total tech support plus box. I don’t know they may have informed me about it just not sure.
