All they did..

Owned for 7 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did not get the help I expected, I brought my computer in because it wouldn't start. They said my computer was outdated (I purchased it from Best Buy about a year ago), how outdated is a year old computer? I needed the computer for work so I had to purchase another one....No help, I could have done that on my own. They took out the old hard drive and told me to purchase another device to run my old hard drive. I asked if it could be put into the new computer, no had to by a sleeve to run the old hard drive. Not satisfied at all with the service!

Dropped off a purchased desktop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dropped off a desktop computer for boot up issue. Checking tracking shows it has been checked in and a TTS was purchased. As of 3 days later, the computer is still in the “checked in” only status.

Poor Customer Service Experience

Then when they arrived they refused to install the 3 tv wall mounts. They left one nailed to my wall with no tv on it, and they refused to install the other two units...and they took the box my TV came in so i couldnt return it. i have never been treated this bad in my life. Ive been a customer of Best Buy for years, i actually worked for the company years ago and always had a great experience until this experience happened.

Cannot get any service!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It is very frustrating to pay for the membership (we used points too) and not have the phone answered or have to wait for service on line for LONG PERIODs OF TIME. Understand about Covid - 19, but there should be some service. My business has stayed open and I am able to accomplish a lot online for my clients. We have several computers that need attention and we hired Geek Squad to assist with our small business needs. I joined because another family member had good experiences with Geek Squad.

Not happy-Geek Squad

We signed a manintanece contract with the Geek Squad for $200+ and then paid $40 for a hard drive they said we needed to fix our dated laptop. We were notified that it was ready and when the rep turned it on to show us, she realized that it needed an updated version of Windows for another $130+ to work at all. Now we're either stuck with it or have to pay that $131 (for an old laptop) or shell out more $ and just buy a new one.

NOT HAPPY! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Frances in 'Customer Service ' said it expires 3/28/21 which clearly shows she wasn't looking at the YEARLY Tech Support membership I paid $180 for. When requestioned she said it already expired and when I go into my account to activate I'm told that its paid and 'let's get started ' with an activation code! Poor service, not happy.

no show ring install
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an appointment scheduled for sept 29; tech did a no show no call; all agents refused to schedule an appointment to my liking and scheduled for 30 days (oct 29) past the date of original installation; considered returning product just for this reason and call ADT or VIVINT. this was poor customer service on the part of 5 agents at the best buy help desk/geek squad not to mention I was hung up on twice and on hold for several minutes in excess of 30 on the other occasions.

Going to cancel! Don't waste money!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Need to cancel, they can not keep up with service right now as the demand is so great. 5 to 6 days to get appointments, phones don't answer, because of too many. If u buy a computer be prepared to wait 5 to 7 days for data to be loaded from old computer, I am so sorry they are trying to help everyone in a bad time. I am returning my computer , and canceling the so called tech support, they r doing their best, but I have a big bill, and no help. Sorry.

Awful service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Someone from the Geek Squad was supposed to come to my home and help me set up my new computer between 1 PM and 8 P.M. today. I paid $50 for this service. I waited at home all afternoon and into the evening and no one showed up. And no one called. And no one updated the status on your website where it said someone was on the way. I am very upset. And now I cannot reschedule for an entire week!

Highly dissatisfied with the service

Didn't know then I'm stepping into a trap. Recently I rant into Boot Device Not Found issue. I took my HP Envy for repair to Best Buy geek squad in Saugus, MA. Must say highly dissatisfied with the service as the issue didn't get fixed even after spending $260, just for repair but in vain. Not just that, I had to make 3 to 4 rounds of the store as I ran into same problem again and again.

Buyer Beware!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased this plan 11 months ago & while happy we got support for laptop conversions from old to new, we were so aggravated with call to have a new TV installed, we cancelled the membership! We were told it would cost $159.99 instead of the $49.99 quoted at time of purchase and given in our plan info. I feel the tech was wrong, but he was insistent on the price.

Laptop "Repair"

They did call me and leave a phone number to return that isn't working. After a week they returned my laptop unrepaired with same issues it had when I gave it to them. Complete waste of time. Nobody seemed upset about it either. Been a business client for 20 years. Not anymore obviously.

Total Tech Support is a complete waste of money

I used it for the initial set up of the computer I purchased. After that, I have not gotten the help I need. The wait times are 2-3 hours and often you get disconnected before you get help. When I do get through, the process is cumbersome and my issues are not resolved. This package is not worth the money as the support is just not there
