I purchased this so my husband could get help transferring his info to the new IPad I also purchased. I was given a brochure and told the number to set up an appointment was on it. It was not! I was disappointed to find out it was a call center and not the store I purchased my products at. When I finally got a hold of someone I was told the Saratoga store could not offer that service because it wasn’t an Apple certified store. I was told I had to go to an Albany ,NY store 2 hours from my home. BUYER BEWARE and ask a lot of questions. Possibly get a number that connects you directly to a store, which I still don’t have.

The Geek Squad did a good job helping me get the information from my old computer onto my new lap top. The whole process went quick and smooth. I could not have done it myself.

This membership s one of my best proactive steps. Each time I use it, it is problem free

While some staff want to be helpful, I have found that this is not as helpful as one would hope. Reason one: I used this on a Dyson humidifier I purchased in store because when I got the item home it was clear this was an opened item that had been returned (water spots every where, packaging not clean or put together properly, etc.) and found that out that it made a squealing noise when I turned it on the first time. IMO any upstanding company would not require a membership to switch out a product in this case. The next time I attempted to use it, I had owned a vacuum for just under two years when the brush stopped rotating. I loved the vacuum and just wanted to fix the head attachment. Best buy no longer carried that model and would only give me a store credit for the replacement offer. The kicker is if they would never just helped me replace the head attachment to the vacuum it would have only cost $140. Instead, I had hauled a vacuum, the tower, and all of the accessories into the store as I was told only to be told my only option was to replace the vacuum with one in store that was comparable (not possible- nothing they had remotely resembled the unit I was bringing in) or receive a store credit and leave without the vacuum I was trying to fix. To me, this seems like a poor financial choice and left me feeling taken advantage of and immensely disappointed.

It’s great to have a membership, because when you buy an item and for whatever reason it breaks, Best Buy will replace it!!

I love that this goes towards future purchases. I would recommend getting it.

Worth the extra money knowing everything you have through best buy is covered and insured no worries

Having geek squad support is awesome and the main reason why I purchased the membership. Having free shipment and discounts are also great since i was looking to build a new computer as well!

This membership is a great value and you can relax knowing your problems or questions will be resolved, the squad takes time to explain what the problem is and how they will fix it

It was so much easier than I imagined to set up an appointment and have my Laptop upgraded to Windows 11. The staff was efficient and curtious.

Reccomended to preserve your products. Make sure you have warranties along side this membership to take full advantage of the benefits

2 years of product insurance, tech assistance, and member bargains for bargain price- what more could you want?
