This program has changed immensely. All the long term Geek Squad employees are no longer with this program. And you have to pay for the visits to your home on top of the annual fee. And the tech support is so-so now. Information and resolutions provided aren't always accurate. AI actually does a better job. We canceled our membership recently after being My Best Buy Total members for a very long time. Too back to see the program decline.

You call for the Geek Squad. I have only used it once but in a pinch having the Geek Squad available to render assistance was great.

I love the unlimited Geek Squad visits, and I get deep discounts on certain products, along with other discounts and deals offered. I get device protection and periodically I get $5 and $10 bonus certificates for future purchases.

As with any electronic, it gives the peace of mind you are covered if anything should happen to it.
