    I would highly recommend this. Your devices are covered in case if damage and if something goes wrong you can take your device in and Best Buy will have their geek squad fix it .its best to have the memberships

    If you shop at Best Buy often, then becoming a member is a no brainer. The Geek Squad Protection alone is worth it. No need to ship it anywhere, just make an appointment with them and take it to them so they can deal with how to resolve the issue. You get 60 days instead of 15 or 30 days to try something out before missing the deadline to return if you are not satisfied. So you don't feel rushed. The only gimmick here is the 24/7 support via phone or chat. Those agents are NOT trained well enough with what Geek Squad actually supports or not. I've had a few headaches with them and rather just go to a store to ask about issues that they can then tell me if worth setting up an appointment there or have them come to my home.

    i've had to use my membership to replace a countertop icemaker and the process of returning was super easy. i really like that all new purchases are covered under the Total membership warranty as long as you renew each year.

    Membership is worth getting if you need assistance with any of your electronics, geek squad or if you need to return items but can’t get back to it right away.

    Verify, verify, verify - take nothing at face valu

    NOTE: This was all done online, not in store, but Brentwood was the selected store online. I purchased online a 75" LED TV from the Brentwood store as well as their $200 Total Protection program (using their Total Protection program the delivery and mounting/installation was $200, plus you also get 1 year of the Total Protection program - it's a better deal than the $249 mounting/installation). The 3 star review is for the following, mostly scheduling related: 1.) When purchasing the TV and Total Protection (delivery and mounting). The webpage appointment portal is confusing. It did not properly schedule delivery & mounting. When the TV was delivered they told me that installation had not been scheduled. It took a call to sort that out and they did so in a nice way, waiving any additional cost, but adding another delay in getting the TV, mounted and up and running. Make sure you take nothing at face value with their online service, call & verify you got what you expected. 2.) The mounting/installation was scheduled for 4 business days after delivery, due to the screw up stated above. I was given a window of 9 am - 1 pm for the Geek Squad to arrive. They had not shown up as of 1 pm, I called Best Buy customer service and asked them to contact the technician. The technician called me and stated that I was on "his" board for the afternoon, not morning. I was duped again! They were all nice about it but my time was again wasted. Again, I should have called to verify everything and not trusted their website and arrival window notification. Make sure you take nothing at face value with their online service, call & verify you got what you expected. MORAL OF THE STORY - do not trust Best Buy's online version OR arrival window notifications. Call & verify if your time is valuable to you.
