Big Hero 6 is a movie that intrigues me on a lot of levels. It ought to have everything going for it. It's based on a Marvel property (which I didn't even realize until I was seeing the movie (I can't say what gave it away (okay, I could, but that would be a spoiler))). That said, it's based on a Marvel property that I'm not actually familiar with so this is the rare adaptation (from a comic book) that I can see without having a picture in my mind of how it ought to be. Of course, I looked up the comic when I got home, and the path of adaptation they chose for this one is really interesting. The comic is loosely set in the X-Men side of Marvel so has the full spectrum of mutants and all of that. The movie has removed everything that isn't technology based or transformed those things into something that is technology based. Basically, they made Big Hero fit into a slightly futuristic world in which people are still just people. And they did a really good job of it, too. The movie does a great job with the exposition of the story. It's so typical of movies these days to just skip the exposition entirely, so I really appreciate it when a film takes the time to provide a foundation for the story they want to tell. Without having a way to check the timing on the movie, I'm going to guess the first half hour or so is all exposition. Let me re-say what I just said before: I like that! Visually, the movie is incredible. Not just that it has great animation, but it has a great style. Actually, it looks a lot like The Incredibles, but that's not surprising considering that John Lasseter produced the movie. Plus, it has the best drunken robot scene ever.

Classic Disney - uplift you, break your heart, make you cry then uplift you again. LOVE this movie!

I know not the best way to sell it. But seeing I have geeked out about every Marvel movie release, I have had to talk about it for months before and after, go to early premiers etc. This is the first one my girlfriend got excited about and then she talked and quoted. I can say that is a win in itself but I hope they do this animation style with more of their fringe characters in their universe. I can say this is kid friendly and girlfriend/wife friendly intro into the universe. I hope you enjoy it. She even went as far as to make demands for it for her birthday.

I loved the way that Disney makes such lovable characters as Baymax. He leaves this presence that allows you to enjoy the effect he has on the main character and see how he helps him overcome the emotions he is going through. This movie was definitely a great one to watch with the family and the location was definitely a plus! The creators definitely used both American and Japanese culture to influence the message of friends and family.

This was so enjoyable. We laughed, we choked up and we cheered through the movie. Love the name of the city! Our youngest (6 y/o may have been too young to watch the movie by himself due to the scenes with destruction and danger) was fine watching this fast paced story with us. The story line was very good as it shows family love, dedication to each other, hard work, and sacrifice to help others.

Big Hero 6 is a fun animated movie by Disney that can be enjoyed by the whole family. It has several interesting charactes as well as an interesting storyline that can be enjoyed by a range of ages.

This is an enjoyable family movie with lots of action and a great plot, too! My 3 year old grandson sat enthralled by this (maybe more so for all the color than the actual storyline), but it held his attention which is pretty good! Good moral story, too! Voices of the cast were great as was the animation!

My classmates and I selected this movie for our class movie night, which I thought was appropriate as we are health professionals in training :) Though we shed some tears near the end, we all agreed it was a great movie with much heart. I also look forward to the TV series as well :D

This movie is fantastic in so many levels. It shows how engineering and science can be great. It shows working in teams is also great. I like the way it slowly introduced children the concept of possibly losing loved ones and trying to overcome those challenges.

We purchased this movie without knowing much about it simply because it was a Disney movie and we have the entire collection. Turns out it was a great addition and I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. Lots of action and heart. A great movie!

This movie is so good. I loved baymax and so did my toddler. It's entertaining for kids and adults and has a good message behind it. My child has made me watch it at least 50 times already and I still think it's a great movie.

A nice superhero film by Walt Disney Pictures. Despite forgetting to put the Marvel logo in it since Big Hero 6 is based on the Marvel comics superhero team of the same name, it still retains the spirit of the franchise.

I may not have seen this movie yet, I am a major movie addict and have a large collection, so I don't have time to watch these movies but I have heard good things all around on this movie. I am excited to see it.

Considered one of the first Disney/Marvel collaboration, the result is a heart-warming and humor-filled story that children and adults alike can enjoy and appreciate.

Watched this movie with the family in the theater and felt in love with it so I rated five stars because it totally deserves it. But why you greedy Disney?... Why won't you release the 3D version in the USA?
