Tom Hanks gives one of the best performances of his career playing Josh Baskin, a 13 year old boy who magically becomes 30 when he wishes he was big. He pretty much perfectly embodies the personality traits and mannerisms of an adolescent. The film is well scripted and generally well cast. I also enjoy the music score by Howard Shore. Having owed the DVD, this Blu Ray has significantly better picture quality and even better sound.

I saw this in the movie theater and still love it! I remember seeing this and then going to FAO to jump on the floor piano! This movie brings back awesome memories and this movie is a special package that plays the piano song!

When I saw it in the store I wasn't sure I wanted to see it. I so glad I got it. It brought back memories of when my older kids first saw it and I truly enjoyed the comedy of Tom Hanks younger days.

Tom Hanks did a great job in this movie playing a 12 year old magically turned into a 30 year old showing his great range and talent as an actor. Great funny moments showing a kid in a grown man's body.

A classic Tom Hanks film. A must have for any 1980's film collector or Hanks enthusiast.

I had been looking for this movie everywhere! It was one of my favorite films as a child I was so stoked to find it at Best Buy. You really do find movies you can’t find just anywhere

I grew up watching Big thinking how cool it would be if you could really do that! Then I actually got "big" & it's not so fun all the time being an adult! Lol. Great movie though that never gets old!

Great movie. Picture and sound quality better than dvd quality (but nothing to write home about). You get both theatrical and extended cut. Still prefer theatrical. Great price for a great movie.

Tom Hanks is my favorite actor and this movie is number one on my list of favorites as well. I have watched this movie many times but what I like the most is that my children loved it too!

Bought this on Blu-Ray...Great sound & picture quality. Great classic. Enjoyed it with the family. It's been a long time since we watched it, even the younger (10 & over) kids enjoyed it.

I am reviewing the Blu-Ray version which has the theatrical and the extended version of the film.Sound has improved over the old DVD version with 5.1 and also the video transfer has been improved.

To be a child and see the adult world grow up around you and want to return as child so you can find what you missed in growing up too fast. A very entertaining movie with thought value

BIG is a ton of fun! The storyline is funny and interesting. The acting is great and Tom Hanks does an outstanding job of portraying a boy in a man's body. That sounds weird at first, but it'll make sense to you when you see it. Some scenes are extremely playful and entertaining, such as the infamous floor piano scene. Great film for the whole family! (Not for young children, though)

I recall Tom's first big hit at the cinema back in the day. This blue ray has natural colors & good contrast. Light film grain is honest to the film . Great view of Tom at the beginning .

Tom Hanks at his early best: engaging, confused, funny, believable as a kid-at-heart. This movie is as fresh as ever.

So happy that I could purchase this through best buy inshore blue-ray. It can be quite hard to find older movies on blu-ray so far and best buy has offered a number of great selections.

I have great memories of watching this movie years ago and it is still a great movie today! Tom Hanks is awesome! This is a very funny film that you can watch with the whole family.

As we love when favorite movies air on tv we all have one problem. There is always some little piece missing. So thrilled to find this gem and at such a great price on blu-ray

Growing up BIG was this whimsical tale of 'you get what you wish' seeing it now so many years later it still has not lost that magic. We picked it up for less than $5 and I got to say that's a steal!
