I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Some good action scenes and a real “ comic book “ feel to the movie. She owns this role, and was fantastic in it. PQ looked fantastic as well. Definitely one of the best looking SteelBook’s to ever come out.

Great price(half off) during Black Friday sale but the movie has yet to really grow on me. Margot did a really good job portraying a live action Harley Quinn but the story was a few slices short of a ham sandwich. For half price, I really shouldnt bash this movie too hard. The biggest disappointment was when Black Canary was given the opportunity/forced to use her power to help the main characters and when the time came it was very underwhelming. The sound effect for her scream was very weak, it was like going on a date with the most beautiful girl and you only last like 10 seconds in the sack. On top of that, lots of mixed messages about whether Harley wanted to be a hero or anti hero, the little thief girl was also an annoying character who had a terrible attitude and no real character build up. The movie should not have been called Birds of Prey because they only ever brought everyone together towards the very end of the movie. This entire film was everywhere and nowhere. Also they made Black Mask a "intimidating" lunatic rather than a organized and calculating crime boss. Not sure if they wanted to make a realistic approach to the characters like The Dark Knight or if my familiarity with the actual characters overriding what they tried to mimic on screen but this is not a Harley Quinn movie we deserve.

4K REVIEW: BIRDS OF PREY STEELBOOK

Cathy Yan's Birds of Prey is a step up from Suicide Squad, but that doesn't necessarily make it a great movie. It's at least tighter than Aquaman and way more fun than Joker, yet still suffers from a weak script and a narrative flow that often shoots itself in the foot. It's still just fine in small doses, though, and the film's visual design -- not to mention Margot Robbie's enthusiastic lead performance and the terrific fight choreography -- often elevate its weaker moments to at least tolerable territory. Perhaps the strongly hinted sequel might finally hit the sweet spot? Until then, Warner Bros.' 4K serves up a good-to-great A/V presentation and solid extras, most of which should satisfy established fans. Birds of Prey is clearly recommended to that crowd, but newcomers may want to try before they buy.

    Underrated

The worst thing that I can say about "Birds of Prey" has been corrected since it's theatrical release: the title. During it's theatrical run, it was called "Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)" which confused audiences and caused the movie to see less success at the box office. It should have just been called "Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey". Anyway, this is basically Harley Quinn in a Deadpool-like movie. It's really funny, has great action scenes, and the cast was excellent. I will say that Ewan McGregor's character was underutilized, it would have been amazing to see him in the titular black mask for more of the movie's runtime - but I get that the mask didn't fit the tone of this film.

Ignore the bad reviews, this movie ain't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It's a fun ride for what it is, visually delightful, cool action, great performances. Is this the most perfect comic-accurate movie out there? No, but its definitely one of DC's better offering so far. If you're a comic snob though you might have too many issues with this movie. I'm a comic snob myself but I can accept changes for the most part as long as they stay true to the spirit. They can't all be as good as them fancy Marvel movies amirite. Also, My wife isn't a fan of comic book movies but thoroughly enjoyed this, so there's that. As for the packaging, awesome. Love the colors of the cover, really glad I went for the steelbook.

Started watching this movie with low expectations and it was actually really great. A couple flashback scenes in the beginning of the movie was a little weird at first but I was able to get through it with having a headache. Only downside about this movie is that it’s in this so called DC Extended Movie Universe they have going on and it’s way to unpredictable. We don’t know if it’s going to survive or they’re going to revamp the DC movie lineup. I feel like if they would have at least just let the DCEU storyline just go through, it would have been an epic story to watch. But I guess we will never know. Oh well. It’s a must watch though. I’ve seen it multiple times because it’s really entertaining.

Had No Expectations For This Film & Came Out Pleasantly Surprised. Margot Robbie Owns The Screen & Has Fully Embodied This Character Since Her First Portrayal In Suicide Squad. The Movie Says Birds Of Prey, But Really It’s A Story About What She’s Up To Now & The Women Of Gotham She Encounters Told Through Her Perspective. All Supporting Cast Are Great & By The End Leave You Wanting More. The Standout For Me However Is Ewan McGregor's Black Mask. He’s Flamboyant, Deranged, Sadistic, But So Much Fun To Watch. I Love That This Isn’t A Big World Ending Movie. It’s Just A Film About Women Being Emancipated, Dealing With It & Teaming Up With A Common Interest To Save The Day.

I have to admit suicide squad was a very well done movie with the couple of exceptions. Those exceptions were the joker who I think most will agree nobody could touch Heath Ledger's Joker. And anyone who knows DC knows Harley Quinn is just as psychotic if not more psychotic than the Joker. birds of prey picks it up after Harley Quinn and the Joker have split up. now you add a couple of new female characters in with Harley Quinn and things become more interesting. You have the huntress and Black Canary who both wind up going to Justice League years later.what's have a good villain with the black mask all adds up to a very decently well done movie.

Great steenbok packaging, even if it does highlight my main issue with this film, that it is more a Harley Quinn movie then a Birds of Prey even though they have top billing in the title. Other than that, have no complaints about this fun, crazy ride of a movie. WAY better then the other Harley movie, Suicide Squad, especially in the 4K transfer of the film. Which with all its colorful antics and design makes the HDR colors pop off the screen. The actions scenes on this movie are another great highlight, imaginative, fast paced, and well executed on the level of the John Wick movies.

Honestly I wasn't as excited for this one as I was suicide squad but Margot Robbie still rocks as Harley and the movie itself was overall good. I think the title may have caused some confusion with moviegoers who aren't familiar with Harley Quinn, not to mention the movie was still in theaters when the Pandemic hit so it probably couldn't pull in more at the box office due to theaters closing. The movie is action packed and Margot Robbie shines as the titular anti-hero. If you love Harley Quinn, or DC in general this should be a no brainer to add to your collection.

Favorite Movie of The Year But That Audio!

So listen up. This review is twisted. I have watched Birds of Prey some 21 times now, and this is by far the best steelbook release (cover-wise) of the year in my opinion. It's gorgeous and I own multiples of it. However, it's the audio that suffers on this 4K disc release. I know how this one should optimally sound and like the early Disney 4K disc releases you really need to crank this Atmos surround track to hear it properly. It's sad because none of the other DCEU 4K titles have this issue. If audio wasn't an issue, this would EASILY be a 5-star release!

A fun, zany, colorful, and chaotic take on some of DC's lesser-known characters - and, of course, an absolutely powerhouse performance from Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. Anyone who wasn't sure what to make of her after 2016's "Suicide Squad" need not fear - she is to Quinn what Ryan Reynolds is to Deadpool. Wonderfully entertaining.

I was nervous when Bird's of Prey was announced. I thought it would be a flop but it was a surprisingly fun movie and entertaining movie! Margot Robbie once again, shows why she is perfect to play the part of Harley Quinn. Ewan Mcgregor did an admirable job as Black Mask and liked what he brought to the movie. A nice surprise, that I was not expecting was Zasz! While it isn't a true telling of the Birds of Prey, I would still recommend checking it out!

Margot Robbie is fantastic as Harley Quinn! Her portray of the character never really popped for me in the Suicide Squad movie, but, only a few scenes into this film and she had me wanting more of her performance! The movie is slightly missed named, as it is more of a Harley movie featuring the birds of prey theatrical debut, than it is a birds of prey film. It's a fun movie, and even more of a wonderful time if you enjoy Margot's take on Harley!

This is a gorgeous steelbook. So if you’re a fan of this film you won’t be disappointed. Even if the movie maybe be average as a whole, Margot Robbie constantly delivers and owns the role. There are some odd directing decisions through out the picture but the only thing that really hinders it is the “Mortal Kombat“ from 1995 level slow-mo fight scenes and some bad acting from the non-veteran cast.

was hesitant due to the DC movies not being all that great but this one is really good. My wife is a HUGE Harley Quinn fan and was concerned about Margot Robbie being cast as Harley but she did a great job with the character. Storyline is Ok, actors are all really strong, Nice to see them bring in Harley's baby (although it's two not one hyena but hey at least they gave her one).

It is a great Harley film. My only critique is with the name as it should have never been called BOP. That and there should've been more Black Mask in it. But movie was fun, funny, violent and action packed. Everything you would expect from anything involving Harley Quinn. Also, the steelcase is absolutely beautiful and is a great addition to my collection.

After Suicide Squad, I was not expecting anything. Not gonna lie. But this was surprisingly awesome and a fun movie. It’s not gonna win any awards but it was unfortunately overlooked by the movie goers probably because aside from a few movies, the DCEU has struggled. Unfortunately this will only be a one off, but it was a fun one.
