It is amazing how much cleaner my carpets stay. I have two long haired dogs and using a good carpet cleaner has greatly improved the look and feel of my home.

I owned a business that we used an extractor for cleaning upholstery and carpets. It was a portable, professional style with stainless steel handles and wands - not the type inside trucks. It cleaned like a champ though. I don't want to make it all roses though - it was not something you could use occasionally because it had brass fittings and quick connects in the hose line that would corrode when stored away after use. The main difference is that an extractor sprays water and then vacs most of the water up. This Bissell uses a brush to scrub as it cleans, but tends to leave a lot more water on the rug. When I compare this to the extractor and cleaning solution we used, I find that this will likely leave a soap scum film on your carpet which will attract more dirt and get dirtier down the road. You'll know this to be true if your rug feels crunchy after it dries. The main reasons are: the amount of foam that Bissell's solution creates + the little amount of water the unit extracts from the carpet. We used 3 gallons of water and didn't even reach the fill line of dirty water, which I estimate to be about ½ gallon. That means there is about 2 ½ gallons of water on a large area rug to dry. That 2 ½ gallons of water will contain solution in it as there is no way for the machine to just remove the cleaner from the water. Unfortunately, my return window passed before I had a chance to use it. Very disappointed overall.

It did a great job cleaning my carpet. Its important to read the instructions. I have read misleading reviews, but it was obviously they didn't read and follow the directions .

I had a different one I had bought else were it cleaned but not like this one. This one makes the carpet look brand new. It’s AMAZING.

My new Bissell carpet cleaner works really well. The price was very good. I have been looking at Bissel carpet cleaners For a while and this was a good bye.

After some research, I landed on the Bissell ProHeat 2X and I am very pleased with its performance. It is easy to use and maintain and gets the job done.

Good but wish it vacuumed as it washes the carpet- left little bass of fur around that had to be picked up

My old "bladder" type quit mid project. I knew I wanted two tanks. This machine is so much easier to use. Love it. I have been with Bissell for a long time. The machines just keep getting better.

Just remember to use the tool to clean out the front

This product has worked wonders for my household. It works excellent and cleans up a lot of messes you could not deal with a regular brush. It is a must have.

I purchased to cleaner after comparing against a few other cleaners. I especially need something inexpensive to clean after my very hair german shepherd. This cleaner helps my carpet stay soft and fresh. I'd recommend it.
