Straight off the bat let me be honest with you. I have tried EVERY ANTI-WHATEVER IN THE WORLD. I know their weaknesses. Maybe one can block every infection from a sneeze to a Superior Trojan Horse, but it takes up MAJOR processor usage and slows the PC. Sometimes it says it can do something and you still end up with an infection. BITDEFENDER IS BOTH SECURE AND FAST. I have many programs on my computer. Some of which even trigger Bitdefender to block at first for my protection. However, when it does I can override it and program it as a permissable file. The software itself loads fast and does not bog down my CPU. I have looked for an anti-everything on the market for awhile and I beleive that BitDefender now has my vote as Number 1. In fact, it detected 3 viruses in my system just when I installed it that no other software did. Well done Bitdefender. You have my vote

BITDEFENDER TOTAL SECURITY 2019 5 DEVICE/1 YR (PC or MAC) was a nice upgrade to my current Internet Security software. As Bitdefender is not in the top 3, I was skeptical, but I am pleasantly pleased by the performance and user interface. After removing my previous software, Bitdefender cleaned up many PC issues I thought was monitored by the other software. It found fixes and updates that the other missed as well. All of this while reducing the size of the software file and load on the CPU. PROS - Effective PC Secuity - Finds errors others missed - Lightweight software doesn't bog down your computer! - Easy to use CONS - Unsure of the long-term effectivness, but willing to give this software a year to see who I will use in the future!

Unfortunately I was expecting a full fledged program for MAC's by virtue of the title "Total Security 2019", but got only a small portion of what you'd get if you were using Windows I assume. The product was an easy download, loaded easily, didn't tax the memory, and never crashed - that is an achievement, yes. But, basically I got a very limited program. No firewall. An antivirus program is for the most part what you get on the MAC version. There are some other things like a web browser extension for Safari, but anyone can get this for free. You get a 200MB per day VPN. Free VPN's offer the same. And to upgrade, you can get any program you want for the annual price they charge. As for the IOS version for iPhone, I didn't really see much there either. A lost my iPhone type feature, which iPhone has on it already. Same VPN offer of 200MB per day, or pay to upgrade to full version. Nothing on here that I would consider worth using on my iPhone, and in fairness to Bitdefender, nobody has anything to offer in this area. So, if using for MAC, you may want to consider something else for a more robust protection product. I'm going to fire up a windows computer and give that a try, but so far I'm just not impressed enough that I would spend money for products that you can really for free these days, albeit from different sources.

This works great and is very comprehensive for a Mac and Windows computer. It covers web browsing, updates seamlessly and hasn’t caused any performance issues on either platform. This has become my favorite laptop protection. I wasn’t as fond of the application on my iPhone and found that it wasn’t overly helpful compared to other iOS applications. It was trying to get me to turn on VPN protection, but the minute I started streaming a baseball game, it ran out of the very small amount of included data and tried to sell me an upgrade. I am not a fan of upselling from within a product.

So far so good. Was easy to download and setup. Easy to use. the couple days I have had it, I definitely prefer it to the original software that came with my PC. In all, I would reccomend it to a friend.

I have had Bit Defender in 2017 and was impressed then. Now I am really impressed. The Total Security version 2019 is well worth every penny spent. When running a quick scan I was extremely impressed with how fast this test was. Quick scan, scanned 8681 items in 0.07 seconds. Really impressed with that. The full system scan scanned 2,293,547 items and only took 00:19:08 and found 3 suspected items and quarantined them. Normally a full system scan takes an hour or more on my old Antivirus program (not Bit Defender). I have a bit of advice, using built-in MS windows defender is ok, but this product did not catch the 3 viruses Bit defender found and the scan was much faster by a factor of 300% faster. Today the thieves are smarter and more adept at getting into our computers which have as time goes on more of our lives than ever before. Spend the extra money and protect yourself. I have tested the Safepay which is a safe way to access your most sensitive financial information and found it both intuitive, easy, just as fast as any other browser and was able to bookmark each of the sites for ease of use next time I want to access the sites again. I really like this feature. I did not test the VPN feature yet but will test at a later date. I have only tested in a Windows environment and will test on Apple, Android devices at a later date and will update this review. Other features include: Real-Time Data Protection, Network Threat Protection, Anti-phishing, Anti-fraud, secure browsing, Multi-Layer Ransomware protection. and much much more. I would highly recommend this software to any and all who need this type of service.

I have several computers that I need to make sure have the best internet security. When it comes to protecting these computers from all the nasty malware and others out there; it becomes overwhelming trying to choose the right one(s) out there. Given, I’ve only used Norton or McAfee. I was pleasantly surprised with bitdefender and believe this is the best out there. I’d installed it on my Surface Go for 3 weeks now, and am very pleased. I have not yet installed it on my other laptop and wanted to use the Surface as my testbed. The 2019 edition (didn’t know it’s been around since 2002) offers a wide range of features and improvements to fully protect your computer. Compared to the other products I’ve used in the last, I believe that Bitdefender offers a far range better protection. There are better data protection that protects your files (docs, photos, videos and music) from ransomware. There are prevention features to help you from harmful websites. You have your typical real-time protection, and checks our files from any changes that are dubious. This is top notch securityon my device and can’t wait to install them to my other computer. The only downside is it is constantly on my Surface which I do not always keep plugged. Even at a full charge at the beginning of the day, my Surface is nearly 50% at the end of the day because Bitdefender is on. I need to change the settings on this or completely keep it off when not in use. Great product.

I've been using Bitdefender for about 2 years now. I really love this software. It's light on my CPU and the wallet feature is great for saving my passwords. There's a great File Shredder feature that permanently deletes files. I also enjoy that I can control everything from my iPhone using the Bitdefender mobile app. There is also a VPN feature that is nice to take advantage of.

This is one of the few anti-virus programs that are compatible with Mac, the program is just average. There are no extraordinary features that other anti-virus programs have. The virus scan seemed to be pretty comprehensive and it hasn't been particularly bothersome as other software I have had. On the other hand, I found it to be the "bare bones", as far as many of the features such as a VPN in order to use the "full version of the VPN feature you have to buy an additional portion that isn't included. Overall, it's a standard anti-virus that will keep your computer free from malicious software.

Bitdefender Total Security 2019 is a new version of the core Bitdefender protection suite. Having used the previous version, the first thing you notice is the substantially redesigned interface. The main page is now a configurable dashboard, where you can add some of the main features to the front page including Quick and Full scans and other functions to the dashboard. The core product features and scanning engine basically remain the same, you do not really see much of a performance hit during real time scans. Full scans depending on the number of files are also relatively quick. There are basic Ransomware rollback abilities which will recognize Ransomware infections and secure important files. . There is also a free VPN, which only comes with a 200mb daily limit, so it is pretty much useless, upgrades to the service are available. There is a vulnerability assessment tool which will inform you when vulnerabilities and associated patches exist for products installed on your system. The usual “total” suite tools are also included here such as System and Startup Optimizer, secure file shredder, protection against network threats along with a anti theft feature.

Easy to set up and have had no problems so far. For the discounted price it was for sale for it seems like a great value.

I am coming from Norton and I must say I am impressed. I love the malware protection as well as the fraud prevention. And the VPN was a plus. You can't be to careful out in the world wide web. The performance settings help optimize my PC. Worth checking out.

I have had every protection there is sice computers were a thing and this is one of the best. Easy to installal and follow and i have great proformances from my PCs since. Bitdefender is one of the good ones.

Bitedefender has highest reviews and many trade awards. Put it on android phones, iPhone, MacBook Pro , and iPad with out any slow down. great price from Best Buy at $10 per device.

The BITDEFENDER TOTAL SECURITY 2019 5 DEVICE/1 YR (PC or MAC) could not install properly on my Windows 7 computer. At first, when downloading began from the Bitdefender website, I was instructed to uninstall all security programs already on my computer. Once I completed that task, Bitdefender installation continued for a short moment and then stopped again and gave the message, “You must upgrade your internet explorer to the latest version, Bitdefender can only work with the latest version of internet explorer.” My system was running the latest version to my knowledge. When I uninstalled Bitdefender and tried to reinstall my original security software, I received error messages that files are missing necessary to have my previous security software to work properly. Now my computer is vulnerable for virus attacks. The experience with Bitdefender has been a disappointment.

I entered the access code for Bitdefender 2019 last night and it stated I have 365 days of access. I still had 76 days of access, but it reset. I would have thought it added a year to my current balance, but unfortunately that didn't happen. So my initial impression. I like the dashboard for Bitdefender and it seems to be running flawlessly in the background....for now. The reason I deleted it last time was that over time it became slower and slower to the point that my system couldn't process my normal workload. It would just freeze and I'd have to walk away or hard boot the system. As soon as I uninstalled the product and went back to Windows Defender the system was running as it should. I tried AVG Ultimate and it did the same thing. So here I am starting again with the 2019 version. I hope it doesn't let me down but only time will tell. I'd still recommend the software. Just user beware that you may encounter difficulties down the road...or not. YMMV
